Greater than one weekI have had my fair share of external HDs fail. So when I discovered Samsung, I was thrilled. I purchased several even though it was much more expensive than others. So when it completely failed and I lost ALL the data Id created (at just 4 months! just beyond what Amazon will back/refund) I was directed to talk to Samsung. Their solution was to completely wipe my drive (which would prevent me from at least trying to have the data salvaged), repair the drive (which would mean Id still be trusting a drive that failed) or send me another refurbished drive (again, requiring me to trust a drive thats already failed). Not acceptable to me. I asked for a refund (basically to cover the cost of recovery for my lost data) and they flat out refused. Samsung doesnt back their drives when they fail (and apparently they do!). So if you actually value the work you create, try another drive. :(

> 3 dayI love their phones, I love their TVs, but every single Samsung external drive, whether it be a SSD like this or a usb drive has either stopped working or worse. This last one, this product, was under the worse category. As with almost all previous ones, it had issues being recognized by windows 10, and in the process of troubleshooting, it somehow caused the file system on another HDD hooked up to my computer to be deleted. This seems to be a mixture of Microsoft and Samsung awfulness, but seeing as the potential for data loss on an ENTIRELY different drive would not have been there without the attempted use of this one - Im done with this part of the company.

> 3 dayAs of this date you cant buy (that I can find) an internal mSATA SSD bigger than 1TB. But I read elsewhere that this Samsung External SSD contains a 2TB SSD, and I can confirm that it does!
