It is fast.

I just finished backing up my computer with over 700GB of Data in less than 30 minutes. I first connected it to my laptop and ran the setup wizard to setup a security password. Keep in mind you better not lose the password because it says if you forget it you most likely will not have access to your saved data and have to reset it and basically format the drive if I read the fine print correctly. As for the drive, Im super impressed and imagine their are even faster options out there, but this is the first portable SSD Ive used as I have several older regular (non SSD) portable backup hard drives and it would take hours to do the same. Very pleased and highly recommend. I used the USB C port on my laptop and have a 1TB SSD in my laptop as well for full context that likely helped the fast data transfer.

Use this on my Xbox One and loaded up COD BO4. The load time is incredible. Im always first in the game! Everything is very fast to load now. Very happy.

Fast and portable for backing up photos when traveling. Faster and less fragile than the small hard drive it replaced.

I prefer the Samsung T5 drives over the T7 drives for my requirements.

This product worked amazingly the first time I used it in the camera I have and also has amazing storage; however, the product gives you immense issues when it comes to accessibility after you mount it to your computer. You see, it comes preinstalled with software, and if you use this software, it recommends to you to password protect your drive. Once you password protect your drive, it cannot be accessed by your camera when you use it on your camera again. And then when you notice this issue and need to go into your drive through a computer, you cannot reset your password if you forgot the password. The only way is the call support and request that they factory reset it. So you end up wasting a few hours hoping for tech support to help you. I am still unable to unlock my drive after spending hours with tech support. This is why I gave the tech support feature a one star. This drive cannot be reformatted by the user if it got password protected, and the password cannot be reset by the user either. I would give this product a five star if not for this unfortunate issue thats preventing me from using and unlocking it.

Love the size, weight and convenience. Works great with my Macbook Air.
