This is a great drive that pops in your pocket. I’ve stopped trying to stuff my big data sets onto a USB thumb drive. I haven’t needed tech support...no moving parts, sturdy, can take bumps and bangs. Get a case for it to keep drive and cords together. I reviewed a good one recently.

It is a well-known brand. They have their act together. I never worry about this drive failing. had their products for years.

Its not entirely clear what is happening with this portable SSD. I have purchased and used 500GB SSDs in more than a few systems in the past few years and never found a problem with any of them. This one worked for a while, but in recent months it started corrupting file data -- ordinary PDFs, *.docx, *.xlsx, and so on were rendered unreadable in Win10 Pro and Enterprise, though original document copies were fine. I did verify that Write-Back Cache was disabled when I first started using it, and I routinely invoke Windows eject before I remove the drive, but that does not seem to matter. I notice other people reported a similar problem, I suppose its possible this one got assembled from a bad semiconductor lot.
