The flash drive works fine and can be formatted in many different ways however Im disappointed to find out that it doesnt have a led indicator and before I purchased this item I checked the reviews and someone asked if it had a led indicator and the answer was that is does and its blueish in color and I looked everywhere for any kind of light and I could not find one. So if someone has this item that has a led indicator then please let me know so that I can return this defective item

Have used SanDisk flash drives in the past and they always perform as expected.

This Scandisk Cruzer 256GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive is the perfect tool that I need when I visit friends / families and help with their Pc needs either for backing up image of their Pc or needing to have the different virus protection to use for their Pc / laptops. Small and lots of storage that is needed.

Very satisfied with this purchase after shopping quite some time. It comes in a retail blister pack like you would find in a store, which I believe attests to it being genuine. This is recognized as 231GB, not 256GB, but there is a standard technical reason for this, but thats not what this is about. Just know that relative to its size, the difference is the same as other similar devices. Before formatted (which is recommended), it shows an exe file (and 2 others) and it just takes you to a PDF website that shows a table of contents in a million languages, but doesnt have the rest of what the table refers to. Ignore any files that come on it. Anyway, I just formatted it and those files disappeared. Shipping was remarkable, since it said it could take 6 days, but was delivered in only 2.

Performs like expected - only no light is showing ti indicated flash is working which is disappointing. But it works.

Seller: Quality Name Brands For Less Product arrived opened, the flash drive was taped to the packaging with 4 pieces of scotch tape. The flash drive was scratched up and appeared used. I would not buy this product from this seller, Quality Name Brands For Less. It’s sellers like this that make the marketplace hard to trust.

The flash drive worked just fine for a few months with very light use. Then it suddenly stopped being recognized by several computers. I was able to recover my data with a third-party software, and reformatted the flash drive. It lasted not for long though. After a few more months, the flash drive had become unrecognizable again. This time, all my data was lost as I was unable to restore it with any program, including Western Digital recommended software. All in all, the drive reliability is absolutely unacceptable. There is no point to buy such storage device if you cant rely on it, and can lose valuable information. Dont recommend this brand, and will never buy WD or Sandisk again.
