Make very very certain that you lay it down very very flat and never fold it. Once you have a crease you are done for. Your floor will not be flat amd then tiling will be a pain

This stuff is great. Used over 3/4 plywood subfloor and it is solid. Very easy to install and use. I will be using this for all my tiling projects!

Im using this for the first time in order to put tile over a rough OSB subfloor. Its working quite well for me and not too hard to install. The tile has a somewhat softer feel underfoot than the tile I have downstairs directly over concrete. Im glad Im using the Ditra XL because otherwise this tile floor would be too hard to make smooth and even. They have very helpful videos on their website.

This is a good product that was relatively easy to use. In the past we have used the lath and concrete approach for setting tiles. We will most likely go back to the metal lathe and concrete approach, simply because of cost and ease of obtaining supplies.
