Schluter-Ditra XL 5/16 Underlayment 175sqft Roll by Schluter

Easy to put down but make sure you have good contact with the thin set. Also, you will use a LOT of thinset on top when setting tiles. Plan to have more on hand than you think youll need. It also takes quite a bit of effort to get the thinset into all the small squares but when done, it really helps achieve a level tile surface.

This stuff is great. Used over 3/4 plywood subfloor and it is solid. Very easy to install and use. I will be using this for all my tiling projects!

Im using this for the first time in order to put tile over a rough OSB subfloor. Its working quite well for me and not too hard to install. The tile has a somewhat softer feel underfoot than the tile I have downstairs directly over concrete. Im glad Im using the Ditra XL because otherwise this tile floor would be too hard to make smooth and even. They have very helpful videos on their website.

WITH ALL THE HEADACHE TRYING TO AVOID USING SCHLUTERS OVERPRICED THINSET.....I MAY USE LATICRETE NEXT TIME....BUT THIS DID NOT DISAPPOINT....ONCE MY WIFE BOUGHT THE SCHLUTER ALL SET....
