> 3 dayMy first military romance read and Im glad I picked a good one, because the topic itself doesnt interest me nor make me think romance but the author did a great job without cramming a lot of military-eze and pro/anti war propaganda into the story. It is well-written (only a few editing issues) and the two leads were interesting enough to want to root for them.

Greater than one weekGood book, loved the characters. But the idea of someone agreeing to marry a person they hadnt even been on a date with no matter what the reason, makes me question their mental status. Which accounts for the frustration. But that is probably just me.

> 3 day** spoiler alert ** I liked this book and was glad for the twist at the end. It totally caught me off guard. This is the first book I have read from this author and it wont be the last. The characters are well developed, to the point that I wanted to yell at Tuck to open his mouth and save himself. It is a fast paced book with Alpha males and a gutsy and sexy female pilot. If you love hot military guys and a sexy heroine, this is the book for you. Delaney OConnell (Razor) is one of the very few women pilots who fly the Seals into missions. She is Army, a pilot with the 160th. She is very career oriented and tries to not do anything that would hurt all her hard work. And sexy Seals are definitely something that could hurt her position. Reed Tucker (Tuck) is a sexy Seal. He and his best friend Cory joined the military together and have come up through the ranks together. He is very interested in Delaney. Cory Nipton (Reaper) is Tucks best friend and a fellow Seal. He is interested in Delaney as well. Delaney is on probation as he only female in command flying for the 160th SOAR. Her job is to fly the Seals into their dangerous missions. She has worked very hard for 3 years to get where she is. She knows that getting involved with a Seal would look very bad for her. Plus, she has been down this road before. She lost her future husband just a couple of weeks after they were engaged so she doesnt want to go there again. But Tuck was hard to resist. They had hooked up and she knew she had to put a stop to it. At a bar when they were all blowing off steam, problems arise when Cory asks her to marry him in front of the team. She does not give him an answer, but says she will think on it. Tuck is hurt by this, but does not tell his friend that they had been together. While they are deployed, a mission goes horribly wrong and Cory is hurt bad. She says yes to him to ty to keep him from dying, even though she loves Tuck, who is unable to tell her he loves her. When Tuck is invited to Corys wedding, he believes his world is ending. The twists and turns of this book will keep you guessing right to the ending. This is a fun, sexy read. Greater than one weekThought a very difficult subject matter was written well. Loved the tenacity of the female lead. Strong in the most traumatic of experiences. However, needed more from The Master. Who was he really beyond a name?. Some of his inner thoughts and motivation would have help the story. Final recapture scene kind of far fetched but again its fiction.

> 3 dayThis book was good and I didnt want to stop reading. So I didnt stop. Took breaks every now and then. There is just something about a bad ass seal that I just enjoy reading about. Even if it is a romance book, I have to read some of those every once in a while.

> 3 dayThis is a love triangle between Delaney, Tuck and Cory. Three Special Forces soldiers that are used to making snap decisions, and needing to be clear when speaking & precise in their thinking and all three failed. I couldn’t get past page 67! I hate it when an author can’t remember her own plot points. But, what makes it worse is when those plot points are major points and the 180 happens in the first 60 pages. Here’s an example. (Last chance to avoid major spoilers!) On pages 9-11, Delaney is explained like this. “She would cut him (Tuck) off like she’d done so [sic] many others who’d tried getting too close” “Walking away from a physical relationship was a hell of a lot easier than walking away from an emotionally involved one.” “Tuck would think their liaison meant something. Which it didn’t.” “Tonight she would tell Tuck not to expect anything. She wasn’t into commitment or the long-term [sic] relationship.” Then on page 44… “But sometimes she dreamed of hearing him (Tuck) say those three words she’d longed to hear. I love you.” Then, on pages 60 “But Tuck…there was nothing brotherly about the way she felt about him.” “She’d fallen for him the first time he’d [sic] walked her to her car.” (Which, BTW, was before pages 9-11!) Sheesh! Get it straight! Here’s one for you that is even closer in proximity. In fact, it happens during one relatively short mission! Page 61… “But that point had long since passed when Cory proposed. Now they were faced with dangerous missions. If she broke the news to Cory that she had been seeing Tuck for the past month and a half, how would he take it? Would it put a dent in the camaraderie between Tuck and Cory? They couldn’t afford that…” Page 67… “Delaney stomped away from Tuck & Cory, steaming as she went. Why the hell hadn’t Tuck told Cory about them? They’d had over a week in which he could’ve brought up the subject at any time.” Seriously?!?! Which is it? Cory cant know...or Cory needs to know? Or was it just that She didnt want to tell him, she wanted someone else to tell him and deal with it? And Cory! Let’s talk about him. I would not want that flighty, idiotic, lunatic covering my back…he might see a butterfly and decide he loves it and must pursue it! He was flightier than my 3 year old granddaughter! He hasn’t been on a date with Delaney, but is convinced they love each other and are soul mates, buys a ring & proposes in the middle of a bar! (very romantic...NOT!) With all the SEALS there! (Of course, that leads into the flip-flop of needing to be tough because she’s a woman pilot and her supposed ‘soul-mate’ undermining her image, all the while knowing she struggles with her image!) And, he won’t listen to anyone that he’s jumping the gun, or too impulsive, or she doesn’t love him, or he’s just being stupid. THEN, he takes the ring on a top secret mission! NFW! I got whiplash from all the flipping and flopping of the story line. These are just some examples…not all of them. And I quit at page 67. I simply can’t go on and finish…it’s all just too stupid…and my neck hurts.

Greater than one weekSeal’s Honor is one of the Take No Prisoner series books by Elle James. It is an exciting suspense romance. Of course, it has adventure with the Seals. It is a very good book. Reed Tucker is a member of the Seals in the US Navy. He and his team are training for a mission or several missions in Afghanistan. They work well together and they work with Delaney O’Connell, a helicopter pilot whose nickname is Razor. Tuck does not believe in marriage as his only true example is that of his parents. That was not a good example as they had been divorced and remarried several times each. He had also seen marriages within the Seals go under due to the secrecy of the Seals missions and their being gone so much. A commitment to Delaney would never work. However, she was the only woman he ever felt this way about and he didn’t want to lose her. His friend, Reaper, decided he loved Delaney and wanted to marry her. He continually asked her and she refused. Tuck could have stopped this if he had said Delaney was taken but he didn’t and stood back and watched. Finally, Delaney agreed to marry Reaper. She continued to stand behind that commitment after Reaper was wounded in a mission and lost an arm. She was with him through surgeries and rehab. Now she was going to marry him and Tuck was to be best man. Tuck didn’t want to be here; but his commanding officer had given him an order. Could he go through with watching Reaper and Delaney marry or had his last missions without Reaper changed his mind about marriage? Will Delaney go through with this even though she really loves Tuck?

> 3 daySensational story!! I really enjoy Elles books because she knows the military lingo and gets it right while still making the book make sense to us civilians. This story is about Tuck who is a Navy Seal and a helio pilot Delaney. The have an on again off again relationship, if you can call it a relationship. Its exciting to watch a tough guy realize what he wants and go after it. Its a hot read that keeps you guessing right up until the end.
