> 24 hourIt is quiet. It only has one tank, so it doesnt run forever before shutting off. It has a real pressure switch, rather than the cheap electronic switches many of the other small compressors have. Yes, they are all electronic, but this has a real pressure switch just like the big boy compressors. And, the price is right. Way better value for the money compared to something like a blue hawk from lowes. Ive got both, and this is hands down a better unit, and a better buy!

> 24 hourThis little guy is great for most jobs. It is light weight, small, relatively quiet and packs a punch. It is much more portable and quieter than my big tank. If you dont need to rapidly fire dozens of nails at very high pressure in a very short period of time it is excellent.

> 24 hourAs others have written, this unit is lightweight and quiet compared to slight larger compressors. I have a craftsman 1.5 hp compressor that is heavy and rusting away and it is much louder than this senco unit. Because of its low cfm, it forced me to consider if it was too small for my Bostitch trim nailer which seemed to require much higher cfm. Turns out the nailer cfm rating were for 100 nails per minute! The only application I have seen at that rate is a mexican nailing on a roof. If one is carefully nailing trim, a rate of 5 per minute is more likely. Upon using this compressor and the nailer, I found it worked just fine. It will probably work for larger nailers also but will not work for rotary power tools and the like that require continuous cfm. Also I found senco support to be quickly responsive. I went to their web site to download a digital copy of the manual and found an out-of-date version. I filled out their web form on a Sunday asking for the newer version and had it in an email before noon on Monday. Hard to beat.

> 24 hourThe Senco pc1010 1/2 hp 1 gallon mini air compressor is just that, mini. So if youre looking for compressor to work all day, look somewhere else. This is light duty compressor that will take care of something like putting trim around a door frame. It is not an all day compressor because even attatching a tool will make this compressor start to cycle (ony 1 gallon means you lose a lot of air quickly.) If you have a lot of work to do that requires a compressor, stick to larger one. However I have had no problems with it so far and it gets small jobs done. The mini senco is not bad for a side kick and its very quiet.

> 24 hourI liked the portability and low noise of this compressor. However it was inadequate for the heavier nailing I want to do. I think you need to better aware of your needs before purchasing any compressor. I needed more CFM and faster recovery.

> 24 hourI bought this Senco PC1010 after doing a lot of research on quiet air compressors that I could use for indoor projects such as airbrushing, light carpentry and blowing out computers and electronics. I have to say this units reputation as quiet is well deserved, it is surprisingly quiet, the quietest air compressor by far that Ive ever heard. Its also nicely compact in size, and pretty light weight while seeming to be of good quality construction as Senco is known for. The quietness does mean this is not a compressor has limits in terms of volume produced in a period of time, if youre hoping to do more than airbrushing, use a pneumatic nailer more than a few shots at a time, or have any high volume requirements this unit will not work. In order for it to go from an empty tank to full pressure (125 psi) it will take about a minute or slightly more, when it cycles it takes less time but you shouldnt expect this unit to be able to run a paint sprayer, fill a large tire quickly, run a framing nailer quickly, or any other high volume usage. The pump is also oil-less which is great for when you need air that doesnt have small amounts of oil disbursed in the air which is nice for indoor usage, or tasks like airbrushing, cleaning dust off things, etc. however realize that an oil-less pump will not last as long as one that is lubricated in an oil bath, so this compressor is better suited to light duty work. It also does not have a filter on the output, one can be added by purchasing a filter/dryer and removing the chuck and adding a few short lengths of 1/4 pipe and an elbow if you needed to. Overall this is a great compressor for indoor light usage where keeping the peace is of primary concern.

> 24 hourYou have to understand what you are getting. This is a tiny little fellow, and the people who built it put low weight and portability first and foremost. Everything else is secondary. You can grab this thing and haul it around like a carry on bag at the airport. You can zip up and down stairs. Its lovely. This thing weighs 20 pounds. Thats absurd. Pick up this thing and then pick up a mid-size compressor that weighs about 50-60 pounds and you totally see the difference. My Makita MAC700 weights 60 pounds. My MAC2400 weighs 77 pounds. Those are VERY heavy compressors. Getting a 77 pound compressor off a chest-high shelf and then carrying it through three rooms and up a couple flights of stairs---lets be honest, its 50-50 that youll be wrenching your back and in pain for a week. So, its light and small. Its really easy to get on and off a shelf. At the same time, that means that its going to fill kind of slow and youre not going to get that many nail gun shots before it kicks on again. If youre a typical homeowner moving a bit pokey as you do a project, thats nothing at all. The compressor will totally keep up with you. Shoot some nails, take a drink of water or move a board or two around, and youre ready to go again. If youre a pro a moving fast, though, youll find this thing lagging. Mine had a problem right out of the box. I would not work right, and a guy in an online forum said to screw off the check valve, spray it with WD40, shake it, and reassemble. I did and it has worked great since then. Would I use this to inflate tires? I dont think so. Its just not designed to put out lots and lots of air. Maybe topping up tires here and there if youre willing to do it a bit slowly. This Senco is designed to fire 8 or 12 nails, cycle for about 20-30 seconds, and then go again. I will say to its advantage that its on the quieter side when its running. Its not quiet, but its not that ear-splitting roar you get with some of those pancake compressors. It also holds air pretty darn well. If I leave it plugged in all night, Ill only hear it come on every 45 minutes to an hour or so. If you accept this for what it is, it is a great tool.

> 24 hourI like the concept and the stellar reviews, mine worked for 2 days and then developed a terrible noise at the end of the pump cycle in the motor fan area. I have requested a refund and will return it. I am very disappointed with this purchase. UPDATE: I could not decide on any other brand or model besides this compressor so I thought I would try to fix this one before boxing it up for the return. I knew where the noise came from so I removed the 3 screws that hold the motor end cap on where the fan is. With that off, I could see the plastic fan had slipped on the motor shaft and was scrapping against the cover. I pushed the fan in on the shaft to where I thought it should be. With a small wrench and screw driver I tightened the 2 screws. There is a plastic tab that wont let you over-tighten it. Put it back together and no noise. Seems to be working fine now.

> 24 hourI bought this for only two tasks: filling tires and blowing out dust from my computer. It works very well for both. My main problem is for tires as the tank depletes so quickly and takes a good bit to fill all the way up. However this is in no way a design or function problem of this air compressor, it is solely based on the tank size is small, which I knew when I bought it. Since I do not need to fill my tires up in 30 seconds or my car will explode, it is not the end of the world if I have to wait a few minutes for the tank to fill up. I can generally fill one tire with the tank at full and then have to wait for it to pressurize all the way back up before the next tire. Still, seeing as it works for what I wanted and has always worked when I use it, I am happy with my purchase and would probably repurchase or might opt for a minimum of a 2 gallon on the next purchase.
