I purchased this unit based on a couple of reasons: a commercial builder was remodeling my bathrooms and used this compressor for trim installation. It looked as though it had been through a battle but the installer said it still worked like new and liked it. The other reason is Senco is a major supplier of commercial air guns and equipment. While this unit was inexpensive, I felt Senco wouldnt manufacture a piece of junk that would jeopardize their reputation. The compressor also includes a short 1/4 coil air hose with standard quick connect ends and a Senco 18ga. brad gun with a sample selection of 18ga. brads in various lengths. With the gun came a bottle of air gun lubricant, hex wrenches, a quick connect fitting, and a small roll of teflon seal tape for the fitting. Opened the box and it was almost ready to use (had to attach the quick connect fitting to the gun). Ive used it now for a few weeks installing base boards using a 50ft. 1/4 hose and and it has worked flawlessly. It is perfect for use with 18ga. brads. It isnt appropriate for nail guns as it doesnt have the CFM air capacity for that. It comes with a tank pressure and regulator pressure gauges. Well made unit, which is made in Taiwan, where many good quality machine tools are made. Would have liked to have had it been made in the USA though.

I always wondered if the people that write one star reviews are just disgruntled idiots who dont really know how to use the tool they are complaining about....well know I lnow thats not the case! Let me start by saying I have now owned 4 of these compressors. This exact one the Senco PC1010 the first one I owned worked with out issue for 1 year the other three have never made it past 4 months.I am a professional refacer of cabinets and I use this with a 23 gauge pin nailer.Average use is 5 to 8 days a month. They just arnt made to last.I am careful with my tools and keep in the house and clean. The three have all had different issues, but today takes the cake..Im done. The two I had at the job site house both quit working properly with in 1 hour of each other. Compressor no.1 would fully fill its tank and the gauges read 125 psi but after 4 or 5 pins there was no more air being distributed from the compressor. So that one was done ! We tried letting it cool down for several hours ...still the same thing.Compressor no.2 would run until it got to 125 psi then on its own let out air back to 100psi.then after one 23 gauge pin nail it would start running g again and start the cycle all over.this is not pro gear not even weekend warrior quality. It has major production and quality flaws and should be recalled.By the way compressor no.3 back at the shop started doing the cycling itself to fill and then release all the air even with out firing pins ,just does it endlesslyover and over..what junk.I have switched to Makita. Not sure who is writing all these good reviews, but would you want to roll the dice on 3 different compressors taking a dump bought at 3 different times over the course of a year...not me ! Learn from my issues stay away from this product.

OK, a little play on words there, but the truth is that this small compressor is great.Know what you are buying, and then rate it from that point of view. Ive seen people here say that this Senco is too small, lacks enough reserve air so it doesnt keep starting to recycle, and all sorts of other comments which show they have no idea of what they are talking about. You dont buy a Prius, or a Smart Car, to use as a tow truck, and you dont buy a small compressor like this to run roofing or framing guns. Thats just flat out dumb.I have a large, very heavy, twin tank Emglo compressor for that, which Ive owned for almost 20 years, with no issues at all.I bought this Senco for small jobs, where I just need a regular trim gun, or my brad nailer.I have already used this to trim out a small renovation, and it was perfect to attach extension jambs, baseboards, and casing. It is quiet as could be, and so light and compact that it was a breeze to put in my truck, and move around inside the job site. The smaller Makita compressor really isnt this small, and its very heavy. The Porter Cable pancake compressors are alot bulkier and really noisy as hell. However, if you need to run more than one gun at a time, or to do alot of continous nailing, they are probably a better choice. This Senco really isnt designed for, or well suited to heavy production trim crews in my opinion. However,I couldnt be happier with this purchase for MY NEEDS. The moral of this: IF YOU WANT A FRAMING COMPRESSOR,OR A PRODUCTION TOOL,BUY A LARGER HEAVY DUTY COMPRESSOR.IF YOU WANT A SMALL, LIGHT, EASY TO CARRY TRIM COMPRESSOR FOR SMALL JOBS, BUY THIS LITTLE SENCO UNIT. BTW, the trim guns that I own are also Sencos, and Ive had them for about 20 years too. Never a problem with either one.Ive heard good things about the new Hitachi guns and I may get one of them because it can use 2 1/2 inch nails, where my Senco only goes up to 2 inch.Ive used Bostitch guns before, and I really dislike them immensely. Lots of misfires and jams. I have been a carpenter for 35 years, and a Union Carpenter for 25. Ive had experience using virtually every brand of compressor and nail gun on the market. It sure helps to be able to actually try it out before you buy something.I hope this will help someone else make sensible choices for their needs.

Pros: Looks nice Lightweight Quiet good quality low power draw Cons: Its seriously useless unless all you need it to do is inflate tires Small tank very long recycle time The motor was getting hot after just a couple cycles in 60 deg ambient temp oil-less design (for some this might be a good thing) I already have a large dual pump 30 gal air compressor. When i purchased this one, i was looking for the smallest USEFUL portable compressor that is not noisy. Maybe i was expecting too much from this little compressor, i guess it was too good to be true. I bought it for a finishing project but when i tested with my 15ga ridgid nailer, the motor would kick in after 4-5 nails and it would run for about a minute. In my book thats bad even for the occasional user, let alone a contractor. Keep in mind that the maximum duty on this is 50% so if you use it at 100% (because it can barely keep up), it will not last. I ended up also purchasing a Makita MAC700 and while the price is higher, its a night and day difference. The Makita is heavier but still portable. As far as air throughput and recycle time the Makita runs circles around this one. The Makita is just as silent and is an oiled design so it should last more as well. For the price of this compressor I was initially thinking of keeping both the Makita and this one. But then I tried coming up with a reason to keep it and couldnt find one. The super long recycle time is what killed the deal for me. For the Makita I also hooked up a 5 gal external portable tank to improve surge capability but when i tried that with the senco, the recharge time was abismal.

First off, let me tell you that I have five compressors and a couple of inflators now and have used many in over thirty years of contracting. This thing is great. After using my buddys I ordered one the next day. This does not take the place of my twin tank Empire unit for framing or heavier trim work, this will not take the place of a shop compressor or job-site unit. However - for a quick trim or repair job with a pinner, narrow crown stapler and even up to my 15ga finish nailer this is just fine. What a joy to carry this instead of a 50-60 pound unit in and out of small jobs. Quiet, quick, light and seems well built. The regulator was sticking for a while but that cleared up and I cracked the gauge glass getting it in and out of the truck so often. Still just keeps on pumping.

I havent used it a lot yet but so far it has been great. Pumps up quickly, has plenty of pressure and air volume for my needs. Most of my uses are for smaller things like air brushes and tires but it did a great job when I used my Bosch pneumatic stapler to mount some art on frames. I really like the attached quick release and tank and output gauges. And it is so much more convenient than my 60 gal dual cylinder compressor and a lot quieter.

Senco PC1010 Oilless Compressor: Purchased for finish work. 2nd unit, first lasted 12 yrs. until capacitor failed. Have ordered a replacement capacitor. While waiting I purchased a new, same model (PC1010). Unit arrived timely (2 days-Prime) but output regulator would only adjust to roughly 86 psi. on the high end and jumped from high to low of 15 psi with no in between readings. Returned for a replacement, arriving today. Will update when I test the new unit. New unit arrived on schedule and works perfectly. Best small, light weight, low db compressor @$120 for finish carpentry work. I highly recommend the PC1010 unit mfg’ed Nov. 2019 over the PC1010N($144).

[Sold by: Amazon.com LLC] This is a nice little compressor. I bought it on a whim to keep in garage to top-off car tires and blow air filters clean. Also bought Senco 18MG nailer and it all worked well. But lets be clear, THIS IS 1 GALLON, and its wont do anything in the way of impact wrench, large paint spray, etc. Might handle small hobby airbrushing.. someone else would have to confirm that. It is well built and appears to be good quality. Bought the Milton adapters, etc (S-210 coupler kit), along with Legacy HFZP1450YW2 Flexzilla Pro 1/4 x 50 Hybrid Air Hose (1/4 MNPT ends). Went together well and had no problems.

This little compressor is just what I was looking for! If youve got to do a little trim work and dont want to lug the big boy out, this is light and very quiet! It is not made to frame a house with! Small jobs where you dont want to break your back! It does cycle a lot, but it is only one gallon. That is to be expected. I bet(with the right regulator/filter) it would make a great airbrush compressor! Love this thing!!

Bought it because it was lightweight but still powerful enough for small trim and cabinet jobs. At less than one third the weight of my dual tank hotdog compressor the PC1010 is easy to carry up several flights of stairs. These old legs appreciate its lightweight (20 lbs). It is outstanding for small trim & cabinet jobs. If you are doing rough framing or roofing all day long this is not the compressor for you. It can drive twenty 18 gauge brads (PC brad gun) or eight 15 gauge finish nails (N60FN finish nail gun) before the compressor cycles on. If you run your guns below the compressor turn on pressure (95 psi) the last nail / brad sets the same as the first. Only takes 30 to 35 seconds to come back up to full cutoff pressure (125 psi). The PC1010 is also very quite. With some other compressors you need hearing protection unless you put the compressor in another room
