This compressor is exactly what I expected. It is light, there for very portable. It is great for finish work. I do light framing with the compressor but because of its size and weight you have to be patient. I have a much larger compressor for framing. I;m very with this unit.

I havent actually used it yet. The things I like all ready is that it weighs only 18 pounds. It is super quiet. Well made, so that if it did fall over, it wouldnt bend any pipes , or knock anything off. Everything is well protected by the carrying handle. I used mostly brad guns while out on the job installing trim on cabinets. I dont use a large volume of air. So much easier to lift and carry than my Emglo portable , which by the way has been a terrific compressor. Looks to be oiless as far as I can tell.

I like the concept and the stellar reviews, mine worked for 2 days and then developed a terrible noise at the end of the pump cycle in the motor fan area. I have requested a refund and will return it. I am very disappointed with this purchase. UPDATE: I could not decide on any other brand or model besides this compressor so I thought I would try to fix this one before boxing it up for the return. I knew where the noise came from so I removed the 3 screws that hold the motor end cap on where the fan is. With that off, I could see the plastic fan had slipped on the motor shaft and was scrapping against the cover. I pushed the fan in on the shaft to where I thought it should be. With a small wrench and screw driver I tightened the 2 screws. There is a plastic tab that wont let you over-tighten it. Put it back together and no noise. Seems to be working fine now.

Yep! We needed a second compressor to keep 2 roofing nailers going. It wasnt the main nailer but it kept us moving instead of having to hand a nailer back and forth. I originally bought it as a handy and portable back up to my main large one, like something I could throw in my truck if I needed to go and help out with a project away from home base. Perfect main compressor for smaller volume needs on smaller installation projects or an awesome second on a bigger one.

Sweet little air compressor. This is perfect for doing trim and assembly work, airing up tires, using as a blower, basically 90% of what you will ever need if you are not a professional contractor or mechanic. This will not drive a framing nailer for an entire building, but it WILL drive a framing nailer if you only need it for a couple shots at a time. Basically, for home use this is good enough for almost everything and it has a lot of big advantages over larger compressors in that its WAY lighter, easier to carry, and super quiet. It is the kind of thing that is very easy to take out to the driveway to air up your tires, or bring into your office to blow out your computer case, or any number of other similar small jobs you would not want to do with a large compressor. It will still do just about everything as long as you arent in a hurry. So if you are a hobby/home user and you are sure you wont need to do any very large jobs, or you can borrow a big one for those jobs, this thing is awesome for everything else. Fit and finish looks very nice, does not feel cheap. Overall very happy with this purchase.

You have to understand what you are getting. This is a tiny little fellow, and the people who built it put low weight and portability first and foremost. Everything else is secondary. You can grab this thing and haul it around like a carry on bag at the airport. You can zip up and down stairs. Its lovely. This thing weighs 20 pounds. Thats absurd. Pick up this thing and then pick up a mid-size compressor that weighs about 50-60 pounds and you totally see the difference. My Makita MAC700 weights 60 pounds. My MAC2400 weighs 77 pounds. Those are VERY heavy compressors. Getting a 77 pound compressor off a chest-high shelf and then carrying it through three rooms and up a couple flights of stairs---lets be honest, its 50-50 that youll be wrenching your back and in pain for a week. So, its light and small. Its really easy to get on and off a shelf. At the same time, that means that its going to fill kind of slow and youre not going to get that many nail gun shots before it kicks on again. If youre a typical homeowner moving a bit pokey as you do a project, thats nothing at all. The compressor will totally keep up with you. Shoot some nails, take a drink of water or move a board or two around, and youre ready to go again. If youre a pro a moving fast, though, youll find this thing lagging. Mine had a problem right out of the box. I would not work right, and a guy in an online forum said to screw off the check valve, spray it with WD40, shake it, and reassemble. I did and it has worked great since then. Would I use this to inflate tires? I dont think so. Its just not designed to put out lots and lots of air. Maybe topping up tires here and there if youre willing to do it a bit slowly. This Senco is designed to fire 8 or 12 nails, cycle for about 20-30 seconds, and then go again. I will say to its advantage that its on the quieter side when its running. Its not quiet, but its not that ear-splitting roar you get with some of those pancake compressors. It also holds air pretty darn well. If I leave it plugged in all night, Ill only hear it come on every 45 minutes to an hour or so. If you accept this for what it is, it is a great tool.

Bought this unit to replace a cheap compressor that failed after a couple years. I mainly use it for brad-nailing, but have also used it for some paint spraying (it is underpowered for that - no surprise). Overall it works very well, seems to be high quality, and is somewhat quieter than my old compressor. I like it a lot. The only (very minor) complaint I have is that the drain valve is not centered on the bottom so I have to tilt the compressor when I drain it. Not sure why they did that - maybe to allow more ground clearance. Not a big deal - just slightly awkward.

I purchased this item from Amazon about a year ago. Ive used Senco pancake compressors for construction projects. So, even though I know Senco is more a mere brand now, I thought Id give this little puppy a try. I had a project at home where a window AC unit was next to the range. We left it in the widow over winter, and frost from steam from the range would gather around the AC. Then it would sort of melt, and the sill got really warped. I borrowed a brad nailer and a finish nailer, and the little Senco handled driving probably 40 nails perfectly. I found it drove 1-1/2 finish nails all the way, even until cycling on. But I had the output pressure at 125 psi.. I also use it--at a lower pressure--to blow dust out of whatever is dusty. I think it weighs about 20 lbs. So, you can haul it anywhere with one arm! If youre going to blow out electronic chassiss then you have to buy and install a trap/filter. Otherwise, youll make a mess. There are certain weak points that necessitate special care, such as draining the water from the tank with no more than 10 lbs. of pressure in it. Saves the valve over time. But they could have just used a different valve! The safety precautions are basically absurd, because it would take all day to properly observe them, and they amount to nothing but illegitimate blame-shedding from manufacturer to end-user. Im just not going to put on safety goggles when I breech a ten-foot radius from the compressor. But the thing is so small for a piston compressor that it can pass for cute.

I will say the compressor was a little smaller than expected, but it serves the purpose I bought it for beautifully. I’m a home builder and use it for quick, punch out type work. Yeah, I have cordless brad guns, but you can’t beat the reliability of pneumatic tools. Works great.

I purchased this unit based on a couple of reasons: a commercial builder was remodeling my bathrooms and used this compressor for trim installation. It looked as though it had been through a battle but the installer said it still worked like new and liked it. The other reason is Senco is a major supplier of commercial air guns and equipment. While this unit was inexpensive, I felt Senco wouldnt manufacture a piece of junk that would jeopardize their reputation. The compressor also includes a short 1/4 coil air hose with standard quick connect ends and a Senco 18ga. brad gun with a sample selection of 18ga. brads in various lengths. With the gun came a bottle of air gun lubricant, hex wrenches, a quick connect fitting, and a small roll of teflon seal tape for the fitting. Opened the box and it was almost ready to use (had to attach the quick connect fitting to the gun). Ive used it now for a few weeks installing base boards using a 50ft. 1/4 hose and and it has worked flawlessly. It is perfect for use with 18ga. brads. It isnt appropriate for nail guns as it doesnt have the CFM air capacity for that. It comes with a tank pressure and regulator pressure gauges. Well made unit, which is made in Taiwan, where many good quality machine tools are made. Would have liked to have had it been made in the USA though.
