As a woodworker, I have owned all the popular small compressors, all of them. This is the first one that makes me happy. It is compact, lightweight, and quiet. It pumps out the air without effort and runs all my guns from 15 gauge and smaller. Don’t use this for framing, but everything else is plenty of capacity. I looked this over and the fit and finish is first rate. I would highly recommend it.

Sweet little air compressor. This is perfect for doing trim and assembly work, airing up tires, using as a blower, basically 90% of what you will ever need if you are not a professional contractor or mechanic. This will not drive a framing nailer for an entire building, but it WILL drive a framing nailer if you only need it for a couple shots at a time. Basically, for home use this is good enough for almost everything and it has a lot of big advantages over larger compressors in that its WAY lighter, easier to carry, and super quiet. It is the kind of thing that is very easy to take out to the driveway to air up your tires, or bring into your office to blow out your computer case, or any number of other similar small jobs you would not want to do with a large compressor. It will still do just about everything as long as you arent in a hurry. So if you are a hobby/home user and you are sure you wont need to do any very large jobs, or you can borrow a big one for those jobs, this thing is awesome for everything else. Fit and finish looks very nice, does not feel cheap. Overall very happy with this purchase.

You have to understand what you are getting. This is a tiny little fellow, and the people who built it put low weight and portability first and foremost. Everything else is secondary. You can grab this thing and haul it around like a carry on bag at the airport. You can zip up and down stairs. Its lovely. This thing weighs 20 pounds. Thats absurd. Pick up this thing and then pick up a mid-size compressor that weighs about 50-60 pounds and you totally see the difference. My Makita MAC700 weights 60 pounds. My MAC2400 weighs 77 pounds. Those are VERY heavy compressors. Getting a 77 pound compressor off a chest-high shelf and then carrying it through three rooms and up a couple flights of stairs---lets be honest, its 50-50 that youll be wrenching your back and in pain for a week. So, its light and small. Its really easy to get on and off a shelf. At the same time, that means that its going to fill kind of slow and youre not going to get that many nail gun shots before it kicks on again. If youre a typical homeowner moving a bit pokey as you do a project, thats nothing at all. The compressor will totally keep up with you. Shoot some nails, take a drink of water or move a board or two around, and youre ready to go again. If youre a pro a moving fast, though, youll find this thing lagging. Mine had a problem right out of the box. I would not work right, and a guy in an online forum said to screw off the check valve, spray it with WD40, shake it, and reassemble. I did and it has worked great since then. Would I use this to inflate tires? I dont think so. Its just not designed to put out lots and lots of air. Maybe topping up tires here and there if youre willing to do it a bit slowly. This Senco is designed to fire 8 or 12 nails, cycle for about 20-30 seconds, and then go again. I will say to its advantage that its on the quieter side when its running. Its not quiet, but its not that ear-splitting roar you get with some of those pancake compressors. It also holds air pretty darn well. If I leave it plugged in all night, Ill only hear it come on every 45 minutes to an hour or so. If you accept this for what it is, it is a great tool.

The Senco pc1010 1/2 hp 1 gallon mini air compressor is just that, mini. So if youre looking for compressor to work all day, look somewhere else. This is light duty compressor that will take care of something like putting trim around a door frame. It is not an all day compressor because even attatching a tool will make this compressor start to cycle (ony 1 gallon means you lose a lot of air quickly.) If you have a lot of work to do that requires a compressor, stick to larger one. However I have had no problems with it so far and it gets small jobs done. The mini senco is not bad for a side kick and its very quiet.

Inexpensive - costs about the dame as my tire inflator that died - quiet about as loud as a aquarium pump - well made - came undamaged - started pressured up to 120 PSI or so quickly - with 25 foot hose takes longer but thats to be expected - for the price you cant go wrong. Yes I would recommend. Note: Does not come with hose and this thing gets hot as expected its 110 in the shade in Tucson.

I bought this Senco PC1010 after doing a lot of research on quiet air compressors that I could use for indoor projects such as airbrushing, light carpentry and blowing out computers and electronics. I have to say this units reputation as quiet is well deserved, it is surprisingly quiet, the quietest air compressor by far that Ive ever heard. Its also nicely compact in size, and pretty light weight while seeming to be of good quality construction as Senco is known for. The quietness does mean this is not a compressor has limits in terms of volume produced in a period of time, if youre hoping to do more than airbrushing, use a pneumatic nailer more than a few shots at a time, or have any high volume requirements this unit will not work. In order for it to go from an empty tank to full pressure (125 psi) it will take about a minute or slightly more, when it cycles it takes less time but you shouldnt expect this unit to be able to run a paint sprayer, fill a large tire quickly, run a framing nailer quickly, or any other high volume usage. The pump is also oil-less which is great for when you need air that doesnt have small amounts of oil disbursed in the air which is nice for indoor usage, or tasks like airbrushing, cleaning dust off things, etc. however realize that an oil-less pump will not last as long as one that is lubricated in an oil bath, so this compressor is better suited to light duty work. It also does not have a filter on the output, one can be added by purchasing a filter/dryer and removing the chuck and adding a few short lengths of 1/4 pipe and an elbow if you needed to. Overall this is a great compressor for indoor light usage where keeping the peace is of primary concern.

I recently had to change thing at my home studio that i use for airbrushing projects. I had a Porter Cable 6gal pancake compressor. and it works fantastic with only one drawback. It is very very loud inside the house hence all the complaints every time i turned it on. So I went hunting for something a little quieter. The best place to search was here at Amazon and not to my surprise I found and read the reviews on the Senco PC1010 and bought it. WOW! What a great buy for the money. Very affordable, very easy to get around and best of all it is very quiet. the recovery time is very short. If you are looking for a great airbrush compressor save yourself a lot of money and get this compressor. You will not regret it.

I have been a cabinet maker by trade for over ten years. After I install cabinets, I have to put up crown molding and shoe trim. This is where the PC1010 comes in. Considering the capacity and power level of this compressor, I should only run a nailer or stapler on this. Another way to look at it is that you should only use tools that consume air momentarily. One guy I work with didnt follow this advice and burned mine up by forcing it to run nonstop with a leaky air hose. Make sure your hose doesnt leak, its 1/2hp! I loved it so much I ordered another one right away. As long as you work within the limits of this tool you will be rewarded with something that is ultra portable, and so quiet you can stand right next to it and talk at normal volume. Ive never heard a compressor that is even remotely this quiet. In my business we have three different sizes of portable compressors for various applications, most of the time we grab this because the 23ga pin nailer and 18ga brad gun covers most of our installation needs. People are always amazed by the noise level. The live demonstrations of my installs have probably sold 50 of these. Youre welcome Senco.

i just love this super little compressor!!! this thing rocks, i can have it running in the house with a baby sleeping in the next room and not wake the little rug rat. It keeps up with my Grex air brush without staying on the whole time like the compressor I had before. I had only one problem with it, it started to leak air from the valve that turns the compressor off when it got to pressure, so I sprayed the valve with WD 40 and gave it a good tap on the valve and walla fixed. I would buy another on of these in a hot second so if your looking for a good compressor this is it at a reasonable price so buy away with confidence, you wont be disappointed.

I always wondered if the people that write one star reviews are just disgruntled idiots who dont really know how to use the tool they are complaining about....well know I lnow thats not the case! Let me start by saying I have now owned 4 of these compressors. This exact one the Senco PC1010 the first one I owned worked with out issue for 1 year the other three have never made it past 4 months.I am a professional refacer of cabinets and I use this with a 23 gauge pin nailer.Average use is 5 to 8 days a month. They just arnt made to last.I am careful with my tools and keep in the house and clean. The three have all had different issues, but today takes the cake..Im done. The two I had at the job site house both quit working properly with in 1 hour of each other. Compressor no.1 would fully fill its tank and the gauges read 125 psi but after 4 or 5 pins there was no more air being distributed from the compressor. So that one was done ! We tried letting it cool down for several hours ...still the same thing.Compressor no.2 would run until it got to 125 psi then on its own let out air back to 100psi.then after one 23 gauge pin nail it would start running g again and start the cycle all over.this is not pro gear not even weekend warrior quality. It has major production and quality flaws and should be recalled.By the way compressor no.3 back at the shop started doing the cycling itself to fill and then release all the air even with out firing pins ,just does it endlesslyover and over..what junk.I have switched to Makita. Not sure who is writing all these good reviews, but would you want to roll the dice on 3 different compressors taking a dump bought at 3 different times over the course of a year...not me !
