Light weight and a quality compact compressor

Yes, it is low volume. But, that is exactly what it is advertised to be. For what it is, the quality is very good. It is very quiet, which is good because I do not want to disturb my neighbors in the RV parks. I use it to air up my RV tires (QTY 4 - 80 psi), the airbag on my pinbox, the airbags on my truck and my truck tires (80 psi). This works very well for what I use it for. Since it only uses 4 amps it does not load my RV generator much and since it is lightweight it is great to have onboard my RV. Ive have tried the cheap 12 VDC compressors for this RV application and I wasted my money.

You have to understand what you are getting. This is a tiny little fellow, and the people who built it put low weight and portability first and foremost. Everything else is secondary. You can grab this thing and haul it around like a carry on bag at the airport. You can zip up and down stairs. Its lovely. This thing weighs 20 pounds. Thats absurd. Pick up this thing and then pick up a mid-size compressor that weighs about 50-60 pounds and you totally see the difference. My Makita MAC700 weights 60 pounds. My MAC2400 weighs 77 pounds. Those are VERY heavy compressors. Getting a 77 pound compressor off a chest-high shelf and then carrying it through three rooms and up a couple flights of stairs---lets be honest, its 50-50 that youll be wrenching your back and in pain for a week. So, its light and small. Its really easy to get on and off a shelf. At the same time, that means that its going to fill kind of slow and youre not going to get that many nail gun shots before it kicks on again. If youre a typical homeowner moving a bit pokey as you do a project, thats nothing at all. The compressor will totally keep up with you. Shoot some nails, take a drink of water or move a board or two around, and youre ready to go again. If youre a pro a moving fast, though, youll find this thing lagging. Mine had a problem right out of the box. I would not work right, and a guy in an online forum said to screw off the check valve, spray it with WD40, shake it, and reassemble. I did and it has worked great since then. Would I use this to inflate tires? I dont think so. Its just not designed to put out lots and lots of air. Maybe topping up tires here and there if youre willing to do it a bit slowly. This Senco is designed to fire 8 or 12 nails, cycle for about 20-30 seconds, and then go again. I will say to its advantage that its on the quieter side when its running. Its not quiet, but its not that ear-splitting roar you get with some of those pancake compressors. It also holds air pretty darn well. If I leave it plugged in all night, Ill only hear it come on every 45 minutes to an hour or so. If you accept this for what it is, it is a great tool.

Im a general contractor specializing in finish carpentry and cabinetry. I love this compressor. In fact, I just purchased my third. I suppose I use it harder than it should be used, so Ive burned through a couple of them. But thats over a nine year period. So no. It wont last forever if you use it hard, but it will do the job for several years. And at the price it sells for, its no big deal replacing a dead one. It easily runs a finish nailer or a brad nailer. The turnover time is only okay, and depending on the nail gun I use, I can only get so many shots off before it needs to refill. With a brad nailer I can usually keep shooting while it refills. But look. There is a tradeoff with this puppy. Its light. Really light. Compared to my Emglo, the compressor I used to lug around, its like night and day. (I keep the Emglo in my shop now, most of the time.) Its also quiet. It just hums, really. It also doesnt pull the amps that my Emglo pulls, so I can use it on a long extension cord if I need to. I just have nothing bad to say about this little Senco. There is one important thing to remember, however. Empty the tank when you are finished using it. The only troubles I have had with this compressor have been caused by rust from the tank. So let out the air and the water that condensates on the inside of the tank after each use. Do that and this compressor should last you for years.

This is a great compressor. I install cabinets for a living and this compressor does everything I need. It is light weight and has plenty of pressure. I have bought two over the years and highly recommend it.

Great for small jobs, trim work, and when you dont want to lug a big compressor around. Suitable for baseboard and casing installation too. The only weakness Ive found is that the check valve failed within two years. Its a $16 part so not a huge deal but I have other compressors that have been cranking for 10 years without any repair parts needed. Its so small and light. Love it despite the necessary repair.

I love this little compressor. I’ve been using it now for about 6 months. I own a interior trim company and the more we grow, the more it seems I do small stuff and punch work. This thing is amazing for this. It’s so convenient to not have to beak out my big compressor. I actually like using this with my Brad nailer, more then my Paslode gas guns. The compressor is light, and well built. It’s also super quite, I’m able to even talk on my phone while it’s running. I typically use it with my Brad nailer or pin nailer. I get about 20 pins on a tank with the pin nailer and 9 with my Brad nailer. The compressor is also a bargain at the price I bought it at on Amazon. I found it’s about $60 more in the big box store. I will being buying more of these soon for my other trucks. It’s worth every penny and if your looking for a quality compressor for the small stuff you can go wrong here. As a woodworker, I have owned all the popular small compressors, all of them. This is the first one that makes me happy. It is compact, lightweight, and quiet. It pumps out the air without effort and runs all my guns from 15 gauge and smaller. Don’t use this for framing, but everything else is plenty of capacity. I looked this over and the fit and finish is first rate. I would highly recommend it.

This little compressor is just what I was looking for! If youve got to do a little trim work and dont want to lug the big boy out, this is light and very quiet! It is not made to frame a house with! Small jobs where you dont want to break your back! It does cycle a lot, but it is only one gallon. That is to be expected. I bet(with the right regulator/filter) it would make a great airbrush compressor! Love this thing!!

I bought this Senco PC1010 after doing a lot of research on quiet air compressors that I could use for indoor projects such as airbrushing, light carpentry and blowing out computers and electronics. I have to say this units reputation as quiet is well deserved, it is surprisingly quiet, the quietest air compressor by far that Ive ever heard. Its also nicely compact in size, and pretty light weight while seeming to be of good quality construction as Senco is known for. The quietness does mean this is not a compressor has limits in terms of volume produced in a period of time, if youre hoping to do more than airbrushing, use a pneumatic nailer more than a few shots at a time, or have any high volume requirements this unit will not work. In order for it to go from an empty tank to full pressure (125 psi) it will take about a minute or slightly more, when it cycles it takes less time but you shouldnt expect this unit to be able to run a paint sprayer, fill a large tire quickly, run a framing nailer quickly, or any other high volume usage. The pump is also oil-less which is great for when you need air that doesnt have small amounts of oil disbursed in the air which is nice for indoor usage, or tasks like airbrushing, cleaning dust off things, etc. however realize that an oil-less pump will not last as long as one that is lubricated in an oil bath, so this compressor is better suited to light duty work. It also does not have a filter on the output, one can be added by purchasing a filter/dryer and removing the chuck and adding a few short lengths of 1/4 pipe and an elbow if you needed to. Overall this is a great compressor for indoor light usage where keeping the peace is of primary concern.
