> 24 hourI needed to get a new pair of cans because my Sennheiser HD540s were literally crumbling and falling apart from heavy usage(Ive had them for 12 years). I loved those cans but unfortunately they are a discontinued line....so I bought these HD280 Pros because I read several Pro Audio reviews and they were all very positive. Sound wise they are great, but I found them not as comfortable as the 540s which were feather light and fit like a glove. The 280s are a bit bulkier but you get used to them. I need to wear them a little lower than the 540s to get the proper bass response but I got acclimated to them rather quickly and, for the price, I think they are an excellent choice.

> 24 hourI tried some other highly recommended closed end headphones (DT-770 Pro) and in my opinion these sound far more natural and balanced. Just the right amount of bass. I have the old ones that say Made in Ireland that are falling apart and bought the new ones Made in Romania and they are both fine. Theres not any spectacular differences. The new ones are a little lighter indicating they perhaps used lighter components in their construction.

> 24 hourGreat sound for the money but they are heavy and that probably comes with the territory to get such good sound. I had to stretch them with a book between overnight as the company said. My wife did not find the phones uncomfortable but i felt it was tight and my head is small to med mens. I wont buy a different choice cause the sound is so good. The cord is way stronger than the 202s old ones i loved that broke cords a lot.

> 24 hourI have never really had over ear headphones. These were a little tight when I first got them, but had no headaches or anything from them, and they are just fine now. They are comfortable and even though they arent sound cancelling or anything they are produce great sound and can block out most office noises with a low to medium volume. Great for focusing at work. Which is what I use them for. (Cubicle work)

> 24 hourA professional set of headphones for under £100. I bought these because they were highly recommended by a friend. As good as headphones that cost ten times as much.

> 24 hourIts a very nice headphone... nice sound... but I found it very heavy.. after using for about an hour of so, I used to get head ache.. so stopped using it.. but I will still recommend it for its good quality and also for a short time use...

> 24 hourThe Sennheiser HD 280s had such rave reviews for sub $100 headphones that I couldnt wait to try them to replace my 8 year old Sony headphones which were getting pretty worn. In the end though, this purchase made me appreciate the Sony 7506 headphones that much more (better bass, much more present, and way more comfortable). Go for the Sonys!

> 24 hourThese are great work horse headphones. I use them when recording drums and vocals at home, and when mixing FOH on the road. They have a great neutral freq response. articulate audio, and clarity. for a $99 pair of reference headphones you cant go wrong
