> 3 dayfunny story,, kid has two dogs, his wife always sick,, he has a bigger vacuum,, i bought him this because I bought one for my house, one for my rabbit kid,, who loves it,, m y son hates this, cuz he has to empty it three times in his 1200 foot house, ,cuz it picked up dirt his other vacuum didnt,, we had a bissell bagged and had vacuumed the house and then used this,, was amazing,,,, I will say making sure your foam is clean is a pain, but a few minutes to clean or rotate with new hepa foam still beats having hair, and you can put the head on the motor and clean your couch, stairs etd..

> 3 dayI dont like how they shorten cord in this model. Or how they halved to filter too. But you cant beat a shark.

Greater than one weekWe upgraded after the previpus version but the dust. This vacuum has lights so you can see any dirt that natural light misses. The only thing I don’t like is that the cord is much shorter than the previous model.

> 3 dayI have a big Rainbow vacuum that I use to clean the entire house. I love the Rainbow because it uses water as a filtering medium, so suction remains strong no matter how dirty the filter gets and it effectively gets a new filter every time its used. Its only downside is that its large and bulky, so if I have to vacuum a small section (like, a carpet runner in a hallway) its a bit of an ordeal to take out and set up. My basement has been converted to a space for my teenage daughter. Most of it is bare concrete (epoxy coated) but theres some carpeting here and there. Further, my daughters pet rabbit makes its home in the basement so theres a fair amount of rabbit fur and debris (hay, bits of chewed cardboard, etc) around its area. My daughter has been okay with keeping the floors clean but since the Rainbow is big and bulky it wasnt as good as it should have been. So I went shopping for a small yet effective vacuum to handle this job and this Shark is where I landed. Truthfully I wasnt expecting very much, but after the first use I was shocked by how good it actually is. I wouldnt use it to clean the floors of the whole house (I cant see its nearly-all-plastic construction lasting as long as my 35+ year old Rainbow) but I would absolutely use this for a small apartment. Or, of course, our basement. Assembly was insanely easy. I didnt have to refer to the owners manual for anything, although after I used it I did check it out just to see if I was missing any features (I wasnt). The pieces simply slide and lock into place very securely, and are easy enough to disconnect/disassemble as needed. There are several well-marked, large release latches for this. I particularly liked how the power switch works. For hardwood (or concrete) floors, moving the switch to the first position enables the sweeper on the power head as well as suction, so youre not relying on JUST suction to pick up dirt. For carpeted floors, moving the switch forward enables the beater bar to really get into the carpet fibers. My daughters pet rabbit roams an area of about 250 square feet, of which about half is carpeted and it hadnt been vacuumed in probably a month. After using this vacuum on it for the first time we filled the collection bin with bits of hay and rabbit fur and the carpet looked every bit as clean as when I use the Rainbow on it. The LED lights on the vacuum head is a nice touch, allowing you to more easily see dirt and debris on the floor (just look for the long shadows). Removing the power head doesnt make you blind, however, as theres a second LED on the vacuum motor that lights the area youre working on. The vacuum head isnt very tall at all, and the hose bends down enough to allow absolutely flat operation. Using this I was able to get under low-lying furniture like my daughters desk and the nearby shelf units. Suction power is also very good, and consistent throughout its run. I expected the vacuum to be more like the handheld Dustbuster-type vacs we have in the house where power diminishes very quickly as the filter clogs up, but no. Power stayed consistent and strong even with a pretty sold mass of rabbit fur and straw filling the collection bin. Three things I dont like about it, but are minor things overall. First, it comes with a storage hook cast into the casing which is nice, but the matching hook for the wall is an extra-cost item. Its available on Amazon for an additional $24 or you can get an identical third-party unit for less than half. For a nearly-$200 vacuum cleaner, its inexcusable for Shark to demand additional money for this piece. Second, its top-heavy. Now, this isnt a shock considering the nature of the unit and Im not exactly penalizing it for being what it is. But it does mean that when youre done using it for the moment (like, you want to unplug it, or you just need to move some furniture around) youre really going to want to just lay it down on the floor. More than once did I try to lean it against the wall only to have it slide down. If I wasnt paying attention it would have hit the floor hard (top-heavy, remember?) and probably damaged the plastics, which includes the collection bin. And third, the vacuum head doesnt have really good suction on the sides so cleaning the edges and corners of stairs isnt nearly as effective as cleaning the stair itself. Youll be removing the vacuum head to get into those nooks and crannies. Still, even with those issues Id buy it again.

> 3 dayIts a genius design. I absolutely love the fact that they made this so lightweight and powerful at the same time. I tried my sisters out and fell in love. I went straight home and bought my own. I ordered it on a sunday and had it by tuesday. Crazy fast shipping. I felt like a kid on christmas morning. It was so easy to put together. Just snapped together no instructions needed. I have 4 dogs and 1 very fluffy cat. They all go outside several times a day. And they bring the outside in with them. I sweep, dustmop, and swiffer several times a week. And lug out our vacuum once sometimes twice a week. Its not a giant old school vacuum, but its still very heavy. And I hate it because its so heavy. The shark however. Is like a dream to use. Im not talking fairytale princess, dancing in the living room with my ballgown and crown dream. But, this makes my vacuuming easier, dream. lol It cleans so well. I love the swivel head. Its much quieter the my other vacuum I have. The cord is so lightweight that it just flows with it the vacuum. I dont have to fight with the cord to keep it out of the way. I have shoulder problems and my arm will go numb pushing and pulling on my other vacuum. The shark however is a weightless in comparison. Its easy to pick up and move if I have to. And its small head gets under an in between things so great. Its so nice not having to move everything when its time to vacuum. With the shark I could vacuum everyday if I wanted, and not dread it. And extremely easy to take the canister off, and its easy to dump. It has 2 lights on it 1 at the top shining down and 1 on the head itself shining forward making everything visible so you wont miss anything. It has 2 settings bare floor and carpet. I used it on my entry rug. Its a rubber rug with scrappers on it. Ive tried everything to clean this thing. Nothing worked. Used the shark on it with capet setting and now it looks new. It comes with 2 extra tool / heads. My only complaints is theres no place on the vacuum to put the extra tools. And you have to buy the wall mounting plate separate. Other than that everything else is great!!!

> 3 dayUpdate: Just wanted to mention that after using this vacuum for a while, weve now ordered a second one to give to one of our friends as a Christmas gift...we like it that much. Great little vacuum cleaner! Original review here: We have a large, two-story house and wanted a compact vacuum cleaner to keep on the bottom floors, more for touch-ups than anything else. So, when this product became available via the Amazon Vine program, I decided to give it a try. This vacuum cleaner really is an engineering marvel. It is very powerful, yet feels lightweight in the hand. We have ended up not just using it for the touch-up work I mentioned, but it is actually our main house vacuum now. It might be worth noting that we have a cat, so something with power is definitely a feature we need to get rid of the ever-shedding cat hair around our place. Here are some key things to note about it: It comes with quite a few attachments, including a powered carpet cleaning head, a mini motorized brush to pull pet hair out of difficult areas, a crevice tool, a hardwood floor attachment that includes a washable pad (we use it on our tile floors), a dusting brush, and an upholstery brush. It comes with a black bag to store the attachments in. We also keep the manual in there, which is very well laid-out and easy to follow. It has a very bright light, plus it can be reduced in length to be similar to a portable, hand-held vacuum (see photo). All sections come apart easily and go together easily. It is loud, but POWERFUL. It is surprisingly powerful for such a small, compact device. It has a LONG cord. I measured it at 29 feet in length. 29 feet! Of course, you have to loop it up yourself after using the machine....no self-winding cord with a unit like this, which I suppose is obvious. It has a little hook on the side to hang it on. It can be wall-mounted, making it easy to store out of the way. It has a switch for two power settings...one on high, for deep cleaning, such as carpets and heavy rugs, and one for lighter cleaning...bare floors, bathroom rugs, etc. It has a dust cup to catch the dirt, which is very easy to snap off and empty. No bags to deal with. Yes, it will fill more quickly than a large disposable bag, but since it is so easy to empty, this is not a big deal for us. It also has a filter, which like the dust cup, is very easy to access, remove, and hand wash. You would think in looking at this vacuum that you might tire over time when you use it, since the motor is up near the handle. We have not found this to be the case. It really well-balanced and hardly produces any strain at all, particularly when using the motorized carpet attachment, which provides a wider base for it to rest on when youre using it. Overall, I highly recommend this vacuum cleaner...it is practical, powerful, and easy to clean. I hope this review was helpful. Please feel free to ask me any question you may have and I will do my best to answer. If things change as we use it more, I will update the review...thanks for reading!

> 3 dayI love this for laminate and hardwood floors. Very good on rugs as it does eat the rug. Doesnt have a lot of suction for carpet or removing pet hair. I do love it though.

19-11-2024I have 7 cats and only 4 areas with carpet, so I didnt need a big vacuum since most of my home is hard flooring. Found the HV322 when it was 43% off, so $150 for a vacuum wasnt a bad cost. Ended up filling the cup twice using it for the first time in my smallest bedroom and let me tell you, that was eye opening. Im sure any brush roller vacuum would have done the same job but what I like about the Shark is: -lightweight -easy to maneuver -2 power modes -bright light -decently long cord -easy to remove dust trap -brush roller indicator light -quick release is high on the stick so you can separate the motor portion, add a crevice tool and hit those tight spots -caught it at a good sale price What I dont like about it: -doesnt stand upright on its own -dust bin requires you to use your hands to clean out fuzz/hair that collects around the filter. Not a huge deal but does make the process a bit messy. -absolutely worthless on hard floors. Youll feel all the trash get kicked back onto your feet and legs from the rollers. This is on the low setting, which Im guessing the brush rollers only turn from the air being pulled past them and not powered by the vacuum. Still, at that low setting, its too much brush action. I have 2 x Mieles I use for hard floors and nothing will ever beat them at that.

> 3 dayEdit - 12/2/18: I still love this vacuum! It functions as well as it did on day one, and cleaning the filters every month is super easy. Being bagless, I love that you don’t have to keep buying things as you go. Also, I just got new, high pile, thick shag rugs a few weeks ago, and I was a little worried they would snag on this vacuum because of the reviews some people left on the rug site, but I haven’t had any problems with this vacuum! I just use the first setting and don’t stay too long in one spot. When I want to get trickier things like dog hair off the rugs, I use the special motorized pet attachment and it works really well without snagging the rug at all. You won’t be disappointed with this vacuum! The one thing that is a little annoying is the crevice tool sometimes falls off if you’re jostling around the vacuum a lot (which you will, because this thing is so flexible and goes everywhere), so just make sure to really stick it on there when you put it back. I also love how easily everything comes apart and new attachments slide on. Everything glides and fits so well, and it feels sturdy. I vacuum once or twice a day because of my dog’s double coat, so it really has stood the test of time. I would definitely buy this vacuum again if I had to! Original - 6/26/17: Omg, I didnt think it was possible but I am in LOVE with this vacuum cleaner. Im the type of person who painstakingly researches all of my purchases before going through with them, and this vacuum was no exception. The reviews were great but this vacuum surpassed my expectations. It is light enough to be able to vacuum comfortably but it packs some serious sucking power. I used to have an inexpensive handheld before I got my American Eskimo Dog, and it showed to be no match for his extreme shedding. I was stressing out because a lot of models, even specifically pet ones, had many negative reviews about the hair getting caught and having to stop and remove it several times each vacuuming session. This product has been amazing and Ive never had a problem with anything, especially hair getting caught. I also have long hair (to approximately my mid-back) that winds up everywhere... Sometimes I wonder how I have any left on my head. This vacuum picks everything up like a champ. I clean the roller after every few sessions to ensure there arent any problems. I have a 650 square foot apartment with tile (kitchen and bathroom), laminate flooring everywhere else, and several area rugs (two of them are thick, shaggy ones that my dog loves to lounge on). The True Pet motorized attachment cleans them like brand new in a matter of minutes. Youll be amazed (and maybe horrified) at what it picks up from carpet/rugs. I empty the canister once per session or so when I vacuum the whole apartment, which is great considering how much it picks up. I cant even begin to tell you how pleasant it is to do everything with this vacuum. Moving it, swapping out attachments, and even detaching the handheld top portion to use by itself is a dream. Everything glides in and out so smoothly. I had to struggle with my previous vacuum to attach the various pieces which was really frustrating and led to chipped nails and an annoying experience. It also overheated several times during each session and would shut itself off, so I couldnt clean the whole apartment with it at once. This model never overheats or loses power. You dont realize how much little things like that matter until you have something better. The vacuum has two suction settings: powerful and tornado (not really but youll see how strong it is). It is not too loud though which is really nice. It also has washable filters so paired with the bagless canister, you dont have to waste money replacing these items. The close to $200 price tag seemed a little high to me at first, but after looking around and seeing how high other models go and compared to how amazing this one is, I cant imagine myself using anything else. It makes it a joy to clean. It stores nicely either on the floor (you remove the top handheld portion and hook it on the bottom) or there is a wall attachment. It takes up very little floor space and honestly, it looks nice so you wont mind if it is visible. There are also lights on both the main floor attachment and the handheld attachment which are amazing. You can see all the little dirt and debris and can even vacuum in the dark if you want to (when picking up dog hair its actually almost easier to do so in the dark because of how well these lights work, especially at angles). This vacuum will not disappoint you.
