> 3 dayI have another Shark corded vacuum that I absolutely love, and my sister has a Shark cordless one that she absolutely loves. I also own a Shark robot vacuum that is fantastic. So when I was looking for something that I could use for quick clean ups in the mostly hardwood floors, with a few rugs area of my house I thought this Shark would be perfect for it. I’m not generally a fan of cordless ones since I forget to charge them. Plus there generally less powerful than there corded counterparts. So I was really excited about this corded Shark stick vac as I thought it was the best of both worlds, light weight but still powerful. But to be honest I haven’t been that impressed. First for a corded vacuum the suction power is not as amazing as I had hoped. It’s not that it has bad suction, it’s just about equal to a cordless stick vac. This vacuum also claims to have a self cleaning brush roll… but not that I have noticed! In fact I feel like I need to clean it a few times a week just to get the dog hair and people hair unwrapped around the brush. It’s not that this is a horrible vacuum, it’s not by any means. It’s just not what I was hoping for from Shark based off of other Sharks I own. It is lightweight, and it’s also very easy to maneuver. It’s an ok vacuum. It just doesn’t have the suction power I expected for a corded Shark vacuum. And it’s a pain to have to constantly clean the brush roll. Overall 3 stars for just ok.

> 3 dayI have a couple of inexpensive cordless stick vacuums that are meant more as a quick, convenient way to tidy up between more thorough cleaning. I have a corded canister vacuum that I use for the thorough cleaning, but its not great for my rugs, so I decided to give the Shark HZ602 a shot to replace one or more of my other vacuums. PROS: - Very powerful - Easy to maneuver - Easy to empty dust bin - Wide cleaning path - Headlights makes debris easier to see - Brush roll reduces hair wrap - Long cord CONS: - Not HEPA filtered - Hard to carry when storing/disassembled I like the Shark HZ602 a lot. It performs very well and has no problems with picking up finer debris like dust and hair or larger ones like pet food. It also does very well on my rugs, which was key for me. The wide cleaning path also means less passes to clean my rugs and hard floors. The headlight is great so you can see the dust and debris before you pass over it and how it looks afterwards. The self-cleaning brush roll does reduce hair wrap by a significant amount, but not completely. Cleaning it much, much easier than regular brush rolls. And while cordless designs are super convenient, the long cord on the HZ602 does make it easier to clean a wide area without having to plug and unplug that often. I have only two complaints. The biggest one is that the HZ602 is not sealed with a HEPA filter, so its not as ideal for allergy sufferers. Fortunately, I have very good air purifiers in my home, so I just run those while I vacuum and it seems to work out OK. My other complaint is that when Im done using the vacuum, its awkward to carry. I understand that these stick vacuum designs with powerful motors at the top are always going to be top heavy, so they wont be able to defy gravity and stay upright on their own. Being able to hook the motor onto the lower part of the vacuum allows it to be stored more easily and I like that. But some type of handle or grippier section of the body wouldve made it more convenient to carry when putting it away or taking it out for use. Im satisfied enough with the Shark HZ602 that I plan to get rid of my two cordless stick vacs. The HZ602 is powerful enough that I wont have to pull out my Miele canister vacuum as often, so thats definitely a win for me.

Greater than one weekI dislike the dirt canister is very small, you spend more time jumping net then you do sweeping, you cannot leave it together and go do something you have to tear the top off and hook it to the bottom because it will not stand unless you do ! I’m very disappointed in yet for the price I paid!! If I had known how small the dirt dispenser was I would’ve never bought it and that I have to tear it apart to take and have it stand! It does have great suction and it is light weight but that’s the only thing nice about it!

> 3 dayShark has switched to a different wheel that no longer pushes back when you set it up straight, stabilizing the base. With the new wheels, it no longer is stabilized and will not stand up on its own. You have to set it down or prop it up against something. Ridiculous. I returned mine within 30 minutes of opening it and putting it together and wish I had looked in detail at the low ratings. I dont care how well it does its job, the design is not good. When I returned it to a big chain that starts with K they had all the Shark models on display and I had hoped to find one that WOULD stand on its own as I have loved the Shark that I bought 3 years ago....but no. They were ALL propped up with bars so they would appear to be standing on their own. I ended up getting another brand, and because of the discount that the store taking returns gives, I got a great machine and saved a TON!

Greater than one weekSo I bought this because the house I moved into over a year ago is 95% hardwood floors. I have some area rugs that and the carpet on both the stairs for the 2nd floor and the basement and a small landing on the first floor. This works great on both hardwood and carpet. The suction on this thing is strong, and it can complicated to use on small rugs to where the rug will get caught brushes. I do like the LED headlight are very bright so bright that I had to but my hand over them as I wash looking at how the powerfins worked and also the storage hook to store the handheld unit when not in use. It really was amazing how much this thing collected after only 1 day this made me want to vacuum daily now. The only issue I really have with this is there is no hose on this and if you do not use the storage hook, you will need to but this up on a wall because it will not stand on its own and the dustbin is small. But apart from those 2 cons the thing is great.

> 3 dayhavent vacuumed my room for years because my sister didnt want me to break hers with my shedding hair. so i finally got one that claims to be able to suck up hair. Seemed too good to be true but Shark actually posted pictures of how their technology works with their fins that dont wrap hair. OMG it sucks up all the long hair. If hair gets wrapped, just keep using it. Eventually, the strands will get broken by the suction and pulled to the middle, and then sucked into the dust cup. It really is self-cleansing. A+++++

> 3 dayI bought this to use on my lower level floor which is luxury vinyl tile so I wouldnt have to lug my vacuum downstairs. It works well. Goes pretty far under the couch. Picks up the cat litter my cats track in from the basement. Its pretty easy to empty the cannister. The only cons, which I can live with, are that it doesnt stand alone, has to lean against something, and the detachable handheld part isnt that convenient to detach and use, I rarely use it. But overall I would recommend it if you are looking for a lightweight vacuum, much easier to use than a broom.

Greater than one weekThis Vacuum is supposed to be for pets. It barely holds anything and honestly, most of the time, only the filter side of the dirt holder (not sure what else to call it) fills up and then it stops sucking. Never even goes to the other side that is larger to fill with dirt/dog hair, etc. Trying to get the wand apart from the base or the handle portion from the want is near impossible. I have been a long time Shark buyer and user, but this vacuum is awful. Wasted so much money on this.

> 3 dayThis is an upright, lightweight corded vacuum that is quick detach and is bagless. It has some weight to it, but while in use, balances very well in the hand. It does *not* stand well with everything attached. However there is a flat backing on the handle so it allows you to rest it against a wall. Assembly takes a few minutes. Not much to do, but there are instructions that help you if needed. Very precise/easy to use due to the moving head. You can get angles extremely well (with a flick of the wrist), and lays flat if needed. This allows getting corners without lifting it up, and being able to get under most furniture with no problem. Comes with: 1. Two heads -- main head and pet/upholstery 2. Few attachments for concentrated cleaning with the handheld You can use this as a floor vacuum (settings for hard floor and carpet) or as a handheld. Suction is very good, and the rollers help pull in dirt. This vacuum did better than my Oreck and $400 professional vacuum (but the $400 vacuum had much to be desired as far as performance). After vacuuming my floors , which I had been vacuuming regularly with the Oreck, there was a lot of extra dust/dirt that it picked up. The handheld suction is good -- but not the best Ive seen. That doesnt really matter though because it sucked everything it needed to. The canister that holds the dirt is very small, so expect to empty it many times when vacuuming. Overall -- love it. This is now my main vacuum, and cannot complain at all with anything. Works better than expected.
