> 3 dayI had a house cleaning service and Shark was my vacuum of choice; I bought one every year. This was from 2014-2021. This is not a vacuum for a dirty house, but may work well to upkeep a clean house. I couldnt get the roller, pethair, brush attachment to work ( inadequate suction?). Returned it as I have a large, hair dog. Good luck! Michele S.

> 3 dayI dislike the dirt canister is very small, you spend more time jumping net then you do sweeping, you cannot leave it together and go do something you have to tear the top off and hook it to the bottom because it will not stand unless you do ! I’m very disappointed in yet for the price I paid!! If I had known how small the dirt dispenser was I would’ve never bought it and that I have to tear it apart to take and have it stand! It does have great suction and it is light weight but that’s the only thing nice about it!

> 3 dayIm a demanding user of vacuums. For most items on Amazon, my satisfaction level with this vacuum would lead me to give five stars. But I expect a lot from vacuums, and though this one is good, its nowhere near great. This is a handy, somewhat powerful vacuum with several additional helpful tools besides the rotating floor beater. Suction from this machine is better than from my cordless stick vacuums of equal size. Only my Dyson V10 has equal suction--and that only at the highest of its three levels, a level that drains its battery in under ten minutes. So in just plain power, this is a fairly decent vacuum. Yet its limited in power by its stick design and doesnt have the suction of an equivalently-priced canister or normal (non-stick design) upright. Nor does it have multiple power levels. Theres one level for suction, and thats it. The beater head is powerful and capable, and has a slow speed for bare floors and a power speed for carpets. The beater does a good job with carpets, but on bare floors Id prefer a simple wide unpowered brush without a beater. This comes with a four-inch-wide non-powered auxiliary brush, but I found it basically useless for cleaning floors and under furniture because it lacks effective bristles and just sort of scrapes along a very narrow path of flooring--and if you dont hold it at the exact right angle it barely cleans at all. The biggest of my complaints with this vacuum is that the beater head is narrow, forcing more stripes to clean the floor, and it doesnt fit under furniture easily. Whats the use of a stick vacuum if it doesnt get into tight spots or fit under furniture? Its a good beater head with a very narrow unused strip at its outer edges, but it still doesnt work as well as my Dyson for getting in places and under things because, despite the narrow head, its awkward and somewhat bulky where you need it svelte and maneuverable. Here are some additional observations: 1) The vacuum doesnt stand upright on its beater head but topples over. Its back heavy. You will have to lean it against a closet wall. 2) The vacuum works well in getting dirt off carpets, but the dirt reservoir is small. I had to empty it twice when sweeping about 1000 square feet of fairly clean hardwood and some rugs. 3) The cord is short. Id prefer eight more feet of cord. I think, honestly, that at the price you would be better off getting a Shark cordless vacuum. Ive bought Shark cordless vacuums at Costco for $250 that were nearly as good as this vacuum--and far more portable.

> 3 dayBought the vacuum for my mother for the holidays. I have one similar. She enjoys the ease of emptying out the container. The ease of handling the equipment. She’s in her 70s so something durable, easy and it works better than she’s ever experienced in a vacuum.

> 3 dayThe vacuum cleaner works GREAT, however, after having it and using it for less than a month, the swivel part is broken and since my return window closed I am unable to return it. Amazon was willing to make an exception for me to return it and receive a refund MINUS a restocking fee of $52.00. They are not sure if there is a warranty for the vacuum cleaner but I am being inconvenienced by now having to box it up (I threw the box away already), having to bring it to a UPS store and to top that off get a $52.00 deduction. You may be better off ordering directly from Shark because you will be guaranteed any missing or broken parts. I will send attach a picture of the broken piece later.

> 3 dayAfter taking all of the individual parts of this vacuum out of the box, I would have sworn that something was missing. It just didnt look like the pieces I removed would turn into the vacuum that was pictured on the front of the box. But, surprise! Just like one of those transformers, the pieces came together and really did look exactly like the image shown. I was pleasantly surprised with the weight of the unit. It really was as light as they say. And the maneuverability of the vacuum was honestly amazing. When I compare it to my older Dirt Devil model, this behaved like a fine Italian sports car. I was able to easily reach places underneath tables and maneuver it into corners like a pro. There was very little resistance and it seemed to glide over the carpet effortlessly. In no time at all, the dirt canister filled up and it was simple to remove it and empty it into the trash bin. As a matter of fact, it filled up really, really fast. Either my home was filthier than I thought or the canister is just a tad too small. I decided to put the entire model to the test, so I ran it over bare floors as well. Again, it slid almost like a hovercraft and left virtually nothing in its wake. Then, I disconnected the hand held unit and vacuumed by stairs with it. It did a fantastic job on them also. So, I am thrilled with this vacuum. I thoroughly enjoyed cleaning my home which must have been a first for me. The power of the unit was everything that Shark claimed it to be. But, I do have a few things that I thought could be improved. Here they are: Although I love the light at the bottom of the cleaner, it is noticeably absent from the handheld unit. It would have been nice if somehow they could have installed one on that too. I really could have used it and it was sorely missed. As mentioned previously, the model is incredibly light but I kind of dont like the fact that it just cant seem to stand upright unattended. It has to lean on something else because of its high center of gravity and this just makes it a bit awkward. The instruction booklet does say that you can detach the top part of the unit and hang it on a storage hook lower on the main section. I have not tried this yet, but that might be enough for it to stand on its own. And, unless I am missing something, there seems to be nowhere to store one attachment that contains a spinning brush. I will read through the booklet again - I could very well have missed it, but there is a place for each accessory so I found it surprising that there was no place to store that . The few cons that I just mentioned are minor and certainly should not be a deterrent to making this purchase. I love that I dont have to deal with bags although I do wish the dirt container was slightly larger. There is something oddly satisfying at dumping the dirt into the trash can. It just makes you feel as if you did a great cleaning job!

> 3 dayi was really surprised by how well this shark vacuum works. the only other experience Ive had with a stick vac was definitely not positive. i guess things have come along way since then. you can actually replace a cannister vacuum with this, something that shocked me. and the brushless design is a freaking miracle when you have pets or little girls whose hair is constantly ending up wrapped around the vacuum beater bar. Im thoroughly impressed with the fact that it also doubles as a handheld vacuum for cleaning out the snack crumbs from the aforementioned little girls. its also great for getting in those hard to reach crevices between the cushions on the couch. in fact the only issues i have are that the dust cannister is way too small and needs to be dumped frequently and the cord needs to be longer. but weighing these two tiny flaws against the outstanding features its a no brainer, buy this. its so light and easy to use that vacuuming is a breeze, now if only shark made a babysitter id be in heaven.

> 3 dayUp until this Shark HZ602 Ultralight Stick Vac, we have always owned a canister vac. Shark is my go to brand and we LOVE our high powered vacuum. It is several years old and hasnt lost any of its cleaning power. I was hoping for a similar experience with this vacuum. I do not have anything else to compare it to in the way of stick vacs. We never had the use for one as we always had carpeted flooring. We just recently had an entire floor of our home done in LVP flooring so I wanted a separate vacuum for that flooring. (so we can keep one vacuum on each level of our home) I really do like the look of the vac! Its sleek, stylish, and the Comet Red color is lovely. It isnt overly bulky, is easy to carry around, and doesnt take up much space. I am not thrilled with the fact that it doesnt stand up on its own. It has to be leaned up against a wall otherwise it topples over backwards. It would be nice if it came with some kind of docking station to help keep it upright when not in use. The cord is on the shorter side. This isnt a huge deal but I do have to relocate the plug to other outlets more often than I do with my other vacuum. The dust bin is VERY small. I may be spoiled by the large dust canister of our other Shark vacuum but for this reason, I would only use this for small jobs. There is no way I could clean the entire house, with aaallll of the pet hair, without having to dump the canister multiple times. I do love the hand held vacuum option. I have been using this a lot. Its lightweight and makes vacuuming our LVP stairs a cinch! The powerfins feature is quite interesting. I am ALWAYS cleaning and cutting hair out of our other vacuum with a bristle roller. Its a real PAIN! This eliminates that completely! The most important factor with ANY vacuum is the power and suction. This is where this product fell a little short for me. It is wonderful for using on a flat, even surface like LVP. It sucks up pet hair and other fuzzies with ease. However, I tried using it on an area rug and also our memory foam bath rugs. It just didnt do a great job. It seems to glide over the surface of the rugs, picking up any hair or fuzz that may be gently sitting on top, but it just doesnt get down deep enough to grab anything that has been walked on several times. This was a bit disappointing as our cats love sitting on those memory foam rugs for some reason. They get covered in pet hair easily and this vacuum just doesnt leave them squeaky clean like our other Shark. Overall, its still a good vacuum, but I would honestly stick to a canister vac as it seems to have more suction and better cleaning capabilities.

Greater than one weekThis vacuum is great. Love the light on the vacuum so helpful. I have a Dyson vacuum and there are a few things Dyson could learn from this vacuum. Love how the hair that is sucked up is collected and not tangled. The suction is great. For the price I would definitely buy it again.

> 3 dayUpdated to add: Ive registered this item on the sharkninja website, and ive tried calling the warranty number but it instantly disconnects without picking up at all. DO NOT BUY THIS LEMON OF A PRODUCT! The unit has already died. We are a household with no kids or animals and we used it about every two weeks. We clean out the filter and dirt container every use. It would overheat quickly and stop working, then start up again and quit again. Now its just a dead shark. While in general the unit had kind of adequate suction, it would regularly drop any dirt and debris that didnt get sucked all the way up the long tube. It would also overheat quickly and stop working, then start up again. Like within five or six minutes of use. And its LOUD. On the plus side, the brushroll didnt get clogged with hair and it was easy to move around. Weve had great luck with other Shark products, but this one was a dud.
