Greater than one weekThese bumpers are great! They arrived right at bedtime, but I decided to try and get them installed before I had to put the baby down. Right out of the box, they came to shape quickly. There is a chemical smell, but its only noticeable if you press your face into them. The install was the more challenging part, since I was in a hurry and decided not to take the crib mattress out, nor did I entirely remove the fitted sheet to put them under. These bumpers have a rubber-like texture on the top and bottoms, to prevent them from moving while under the sheet. I essentially took more time trying to punch them into place beneath sheet rather than remove the sheet. So theyre pretty good at not moving. The space in the crib is so small, it kind of makes a U shape, but these helped my baby transition out of the baby nest. Overall, great buy! Will more than likely be using until toddlerhood too! I kinda want them for myself too, haha.

> 3 dayI have bed raisers on the legs of my bed and for that reason, the bed does not sit flush with the wall. This is a huge issues because things keep falling down the gap, like my remote and dogs. Yes, that’s right, my dogs. One night my youngest dog fell head first and was pretty much doing a handstand and all I could see was his hind legs sticking up. I tried bunching up some blankets to cover the gap but then my senior dog fell in but his big head didn’t fit. Thankfully neither dog was hurt but I knew it was time to find a real solution. I was a little weary of some of the reviews that said this bumper was too soft or didn’t puff up to normal size after unpacking from the vac-sealed bag but it was perfect. It’s firm enough to keep its shape but soft enough to mold into the gap. And it definitely got plenty of volume after unpacking. I have it “upside” down so the bottom sits flush with the height of my mattress. The dogs are able to sleep on the bumper which essentially adds more space to my bed.

Greater than one weekI bought these for my almost 3-year old grandsons bed. He is a mover in bed, a real mover! Im afraid of him falling out of bed and Im afraid of the typical metal bedrails not being able to keep him in bed. I saw this concept of bedrails but wow, I didnt know there were so many to pick from!! I wanted something high enough so he couldnt sleep crawl over them but I didnt want him to fall down flights should he happen to go over the edge. I also wanted something that wouldnt slip on the bed and would stay on any type of material. I wanted something long without going to the bottom of the bed also. Pretty tough criteria. So, These rails come airtight - rolled up and you have to lay them flat so they can fill up with air (puff up). We left them over night and by the morning, they were fully inflated and ready to use. We didnt find any odor with them either. We put them on top of the sheets when we put him in bed and unfortuately, he was able to move them around as he slept. He didnt kick them off the bed but they did move from their original position but since they are long, part of the rail stayed on the bed. He does like to put his arm over them when he originally goes to sleep (like he is hugging them) and I dont see him hugging one of the metal bar rails which makes me feel that he likes them also. I do like how soft it is though. Since they are long and big, I dont think I would be taking these while traveling. To me, they would be cumbersome. Id also be worried about the sturdinesss of carrying them and afraid that they might bend and the plastic/foam would tear and it wouldnt be a comfortable item for my grandson to sleep against. I think of carrying a colorful pool noodle around only its made of heavy foam making it wobbly. Now, if they had one that came in sections (say maybe 4 or 5 sections) and you used fantastic velcro to fasten them all together and had a slipcover to put it in before putting it on the childs bed .....then perhaps, this might be a great product for traveling. I give it a 4 because Im not a fan of the item moving while he was sleeping and for the price I paid, I figured it would be better than the cheaper ones.

> 3 dayThese are perfect for my toddler! Used this to transition from crib to a regular bed, works amazing. Stays in place perfect, just the right height, squishy but not too soft. Love it

> 3 dayI transitioned my almost 3-year old out of a crib and into a twin bed with these. Shes been using the bed without any issues for over a month. Gives the illusion of being in a crib so she stays in til the morning. So glad I didnt go with the mesh fence. These stay put and arent obnoxious

Just a person
Greater than one weekWorks great for my toddler. He would sleep up against the crib. So when he switched to a bed he would fall off. Now he has the support he needs but the freedom to get out of bed.

> 3 dayThese are a much better option than other bumpers for toddler beds. They keep my two year old in her bed and we don’t have to worry about her falling out. They also serve as another pillow option.

> 3 dayWe bought these bumpers to use when we transitioned my son from a crib to a twin bed. His particular bed sits fairly high off the ground as we were gifted a hand me down trundle bed by a family friend. A few reviews made mention of how “flat” they were when they arrived but seeing that they’re foam, they take a little time to fill out after being shoved into a box for shipping. Within 10-15 minutes they were puffy and soft. Also, the grippers are just enough to keep them in place. We put them under both the fitted sheet and mattress pad on his bed and they don’t go anywhere.

> 3 dayTwo and a half year old has outgrown the pack n play at grandmas. These were purchased for the full sized guest bed. They kept him safe while sleeping. They are very convenient to throw in at a moment’s notice. They are not the length of the bed so while they keep him from tumbling, don’t count on him to not be able to get out of bed.
