She especially likes to bake breads so flour and other ingredients are all over the place. I purchased this mat in order to provide her a specific area to confine her preparation and to assist her with measurements. This silicone mat was the perfect solution. The measurements for rolling out the dough for her specific bread or pastry are embedded into the mat. Aside from these amenities, the mat provides a non-slip surface on our countertop, wipes clean with a simple wash, and stores easily in a drawer or cabinet. It can be folded or rolled to fit the smallest space, and can even go into the oven for ease of baking cookies. The instructions read that the mat is oven safe to 400+ degrees but she has not used it in the oven. Ease of use and cleanup, along with its ample size make this a must have for any baker.
