> 3 dayPerfect for the outlet that’s right next to the baby’s crib. Her room only has 2 outlets so this is the best solution to give us access to the electricity while keeping her tiny fingers out of the outlet. The only thing that would make it better would be if there were more than 2 sockets at the end of the cord.

23-11-2024I got the Childproof 9ft version. I used this product in my babys room, to run a cable from the floor outlet up to a shelf, where Ive got her baby monitor, an Echo, and a temperature egg. It looks extremely neat and organized, and unlike most baby-proofed stuff, Im pleased at how subtle it is. It costs more $$ than I was expecting, but I think youre paying for aesthetics here. The baby likes to chew on pretty much everything she sees, and she hasnt even noticed it. I like it so much I plan on getting a second one to run a cable behind my nightstand. This is a great product.

> 3 dayI have installed two of these so far and there is a lot of room for improvement in this product. For one, you lose access to both outlets, even though you are only using one plug. It would be nice if they made it so the other outlet was still showing through the cover. The other issue is that the orientation cannot be changed, so while almost every TV will be mounted above the outlet, you still have to make the cord go down and out first before it can go up to the tv (see my photos.) You cannot just flip it around, as it is a 3 prong. Finally, rather than having one long plastic cord cover that could be cut, you are sent a bunch of small pieces that leave a small space between each one, so you still see some of the cord it doesn’t look very slick or smooth. My photos show about the best case scenario with this product.

> 3 dayThis was super easy to install and it made me feel better about my toddler playing in the area around it. She doesn’t bother it at all or even notice it’s there. I used a command hook to hang the plug section high on the way, which made it easy for me to access

> 3 dayI have been searching for a way to childproof my 4 outlet plate (2x2) from my toddler. I couldnt find any box covers for this size or any other solution that allowed me to use the outlets. Then I came across this gem, and it seemed like it could work. Now, Im sure this is not manufacturer recommended, but after recieving the sleek socket I cut off one of the sides so it would sit flush over my 4 socket wall plate and other outlet safety covers (see pics). Just used a drill to make some holes down the side I wanted to get rid of, used some pliers to bend off the excess, and after checking for a flush fit I sanded the rough edges down with a hand sander. Fits perfect now. Theres a little bit of room for the toddler to try and pry it off, but it isnt nearly as bad as the exposed plugs he was playing with. If they ever make one that actually fits over a 4 outlet plate I will buy it for the extra security of it fitting flush to the wall.

> 3 dayThough I guess they didnt specify which pencil theyre talking about...if youre thinking #2, definitely not that thin. The thing is pretty bulky. Also, theres no way to properly secure it. It just plugs in. So, if you toddler is as curious as mine are a few good yanks and this thing will come off... Would not recommend. Especially not for $30...
