Easy to install, works as advertised

When my crypto miner went offline, the power source was from my attic and it was trouble some to get the ladder, walk up to attic and unplug my miner when it needed to be restarted. But when I found out about YoLink Smart Plug it was an easy buy because it made it easier to power it off (restart) from my mobile phone. Their app is also great, easy to understand the UI (user interface). I just wish they had a 4 pack or 5 pack of these without the hub since I already have it from a previous purchase.

I have many Yolink products and love them all, except this one. Despite the product description saying this is helpful for saving money while using devices such as space heaters, it doesnt work well for that. I wanted to use it for an oil filled radiator heater and switch on an hour before using our workout room. It is only rated for 10 amps(says that nowhere in the description). It kept cycling off power to the heater and it was simply not functional for that. It will now become a lamp timer for vacation.

This is great and very easy to use, in fact its probably the best smart plug I have. The only caveat is that it has a 10 amp limit so when I plugged my heater in, it stopped working and was causing some electrical issues.

I bought 4 of these in August 2021. 1 of them has already failed. While Yolink offers 2 year warranty on some products, they only offer a 1 year warranty on 120V products. Ive had cheaper brands work longer than these have.

I purchased the hub and a plug, then a couple of motion sensors. Less than a month after I purchased the plug the price has increased by nearly 20%. They want $3.99 for shipping too (even though Im a prime member). Look for a cheaper option is you want to find a system to try to automate your home. The system is Ok but WAY too expensive to buy all the sensors and other accessories I plan on purchasing.

I use several of these plugs to control several appliances such as dehumidifiers and fans. I use yolink sensors to monitor the environment and use the smart plugs to activate the appliances.

Absolutely love the entire system it allows me a greater piece of mind. Even when I am not home I get all notifications allowing me more control. I sleep so much better knowing that the system is always watching. Also setting up the behavior allows the light and alarms to be set to react differently between set hours. I will buy more in the future. I wish there was a camera but I am completely happy for now.

As with all YoLink products, this plug is extremely easy to setup...much easier than say competing WiFi plugs. Scan the code on the plug and it is added to your YoLink hub. After that plug it in and control from your iPhone, iPad or Android device. I am using several of these to control seasonal window candles in 12 windows. Using the app all are set as part of the same scene. Then the scene is turned on at 4PM and then turned off at 9 PM. Works perfectly!

I added the Mini Plug to my home security system and I really like the flexibility it gives me to turn things off or on when Im not at home. It was easy to add to my network, same as the other YoLink devices, and easy to use once it was installed. I highly recommend this and the entire line of YoLink products.
