It’s important to be discreet while smoking your cannabis, otherwise some scumbag is going to ask to join you without chipping in

Honestly, I see where you’re coming from with the toilet paper roll/dryer sheet setup. If it’s working, cool, but this doesn’t just filter the smoke thru a dryer sheet and make it smell like Downey. It literally traps the smoke, the smell, the actual smoke goes into this thing and nothing but clean air comes out. It’s not disguised toxins that your kids and animals still will take in their bodies secondhand. I don’t know about others, but when I’m mislead into thinking something is … say healthy, but it’s really not… I’m not cool with it. I don’t care to be mislead at all, ever really. I can only assume to treat others with the same regard, even if they happen to be naive to the fact. This filter actually keeps the toxins out of the air, hence off your walls and furniture, and away from your loved ones who may not care to inhale smoke by choice. A joint isn’t a great candidate for this thing because it continues to emit smoke, neither is a cigarette. A pipe or a bong is probably what your aim would be here. Idk just have some respect for people and pets. just because you choose to smoke doesn’t mean you need to force feed others your choice smoking habits. It’s toxic and it leaves residue on everything in the room you smoke in. I’m sure smoking once isn’t going to produce much buildup, but maybe you smoke oftentimes somewhere. The residue doesn’t miraculously change once it’s put thru your lungs, it still has toxic properties. Ask your old bong with the nasty buildup, go ahead and scrape off the resin or whatever, and eat it if you think it’s so untoxic. Your cats lick their paws and clean themselves. Your kids put their hands in their mouths and that much won’t change because you smoke. I’d really recommend this filter in particular. I’ve tried other brands of filters but they don’t seem to work nearly as well as this one does for some reason. That said, The only thing I’ve found it that It’s hard to impose on people to use this sometimes, Ive struggled with that. It’s a little obtrusive. 100% worth it for me, 10% recommended by my guests.

This thing is great, does what it says it’ll do. Keep in mind whatever your smoking will emit smoke and odors as well. The Smoke Buddy is perfect for the exhale buts that’s it. Update 4/25/2020 Ok, so after some serious smoking since 4/20 I have to update my review. I hit my trees hard and I smoke all day and the Smoke Buddy works to a point. I take fat hits and blow fat clouds and the Standard Size Smoke Buddy isn’t big enough for a man of my size. I’m going to purchase the Smoke Buddy XL because I’m confident it’ll handle larger hits. This thing is still amazing though!

I feel like the Sploofy we had before this worked better.

Forget your home-made laundry-sheet sploofs, elaborate fan systems, towels under the door, plastic bag over the fire alarm. Youre a grown person now. Welcome yourself to the 21st century with this simple but useful (damn near essential for some people) tool for the smoker of all persuasions. Whether you vape, combust, tobacco, or otherwise, if you blow it out the Buddy, the clouds get sent straight to heaven, where it belongs. The smoke/vapor is just GONE. How long this last you depends on how you use it. Vapers can have it last for quite awhile. The Buddy really shines when you combust though, because those thick, ashy clouds really get filtered into pure air. No odor, nothing. This wont last you as long as vaping. You know its spent when it starts getting heavy resistance when you blow through. Ive read some stuff online about reactivating it by microwaving it...just dont do it. Not only does it not work, you get a funky smell and its never the same after. Just get you a new one. PS. If you can, get the one with the the keychain fella. Its dope.

Dont listen to the bad reviews... Its almost funny to read these bad comments. I have had about 5 or 6 of these miracle things! I only had a problem with one of them that came cracked and charcoal coming out. Probably got damaged in shipping. These things last a long time! Some times up to 1 year even under heavy use. What I have found is that eventually moisture gets trapped in there and that over (long) time kill the life of the product. Ive seen people put it in the microwave to resolve that issue but from my experience it doesnt help much and it could just ruin it completely. What I recommend to get the most life out of your smoke buddy is when not in use, put common silica packets inside where you blow smoke and cap it. I wish this product was invented a few years back when I really needed to be stealthy. Hope this helps!

I have been smoking and vaping for over 15 years and have used many a spoof to cover my tracks. I now only vape but this thing still works just as well if not better with vapor. Moving anywhere near someone who doesnt smoke can be stressful for me but especially if I know I wont have the opportunity to go outdoors. In the past, this would lead me to use a spoof; generally a Poland spring bottle with lots of tiny pin holes on the bottom filled with drier sheets, ozium or what ever helps eliminate smoke. The problem with spoofs is they really dont work. Their also pretty irritating to make as you need to find the right size bottle, then finding the filler is even more frustrating as drier sheets are not always handy. Ontop of all that, you need to use it several times to get the airflow right and to figure out how much, if any, smoke it removes. Normally this results in air that smells both like Lysol and weed but is rarely effective. (it also begs the question..Why does it smell like Lysol and weed in here?) With the smoke buddy, i can take a huge, milky bag of volcano vapor and the result will be no smell in the room. Its pretty amazing to see a bag full of vapor just disappear as it goes through the device. Im pretty sure the magic inside is just activated carbon as i am familiar with its carbon scrubbing attributes but man, does it ever work! The most smoke or vapor youll see will undoubtedly come from the gap between the plastic mouthpiece and your mouth. It can be a bit tricky to get it to seal properly (especially if you have a beard) but if you stick your lips out just right, absolutely nothing will come out the other end. This thing is so effective, its a MUST have if you light up in the car. Youll feel just as stupid as i did once you realize this things been around while youve been doing arts and crafts with water bottles and drier sheets all these years!

I just started using the Smoke Buddy a couple of days ago, but so far Im really pleased. Hubby and I are both smokers, so Ive been trying to find a way to reduce smoke smell and dust in our home. This definitely will help. When you exhale smoke into it, nothing comes out the other end, the filter captures everything. I can see where having to repurchase them frequently might be a pain, but its so effective that I think I will keep buying them. Not sure what Ill do with the large collection of key chains over time, lol :). Pros: Eliminates all exhaled smoke entirely. Thats a HUGE pro. It works exactly as described. Cons so far: 1) You have to exhale the smoke pretty hard to get it to go through the filter, something to get used to but not a huge issue. 2) Hubby has a goatee and mustache. He reports that for him he cant get a good seal around his mouth due to this, so quite a bit of smoke leaks out around the edges, and as a result he probably will not use one often if at all. 3) Frequent replacement for heavy smokers expected. I would LOVE to see a version of this that allows the user to replace filter cartridges rather than having to replace the entire thing.

Works like a charm. The only thing is.. the smoke coming from your lit cigarette, joint, etc is still going to be there lol but I have been blowing some giant clouds into this thing and it COMPLETELY eliminates any smoke or smell that is exahaled. Along with a smokeless ashtray you could really smoke anywhere

I usually smoke at home or in the office. My old setup for getting smoke out was to take a rectangular piece of plexiglass and have a cutout in it to fit my little 6 inch desk fan and use it as a window fan. I got one in my office, and one at home. This works, but still fills the room with the smell of burnt tobacco. Just got the smokebuddy and decided to have a long 2hr smoke. What I had was a Gurkha 7x52 cigar. Heres the pros & cons: PROS: - lightweight - small - gets rid of most of the burnt tobacco odor. - comes with caps. Id imagine after using it many times, itd start to smell, the caps will keep the smells contained. CONS: - you need to use your face to make a tight seal on the smokebuddy, or else smoke will leak. - gotta blow hard, as if you are trying to inflate an air mattress with your lungs. - I got really lightheaded after taking a few exhales through the smokebuddy, not even 1/3 of the way into my smoke, and I was quite nauseous from blowing so hard on the smokebuddy to get it to filter out all the smoke. - filter can not be replaced. once its clogged, you need to buy a new one. Thing for the company to improve on: - have an o-ring/gasket on the exhale end aka where you put you mouth in end - have a looser pack of filter material, can be a thicker pack, just not as tight - change the product so itll take exchangeable cartridges, Id rather small packs of filters than $20 smokebuddies one after another. ======= Overall, for the price, its worth the buy. Ill still be using my fan setup because the smokebuddy does not take care of all the smoke, and the occasional leak from not shoving my face against it. Blowing through this thing, is really annoying, and I stopped using it all together half-way into my 7 cigar. I wasnt getting lightheaded from the nicotine, but instead from the smoke filter. It works, but needs improvements.

The original smokebuddy is a personal smoke filter. Smoke from a cigarette, pipe or the like releases dangerous toxins into the atmosphere. Exhaling through a smokebuddy reduces secondhand smoke and eliminates odor.
