> 3 daySmoke buddy definitely works. I live in a non smoking apartment and I use one daily and it never smells inside. Even when smoking medical. However I think $19.99 is a bit expensive for something you have to replace repeatedly. It would be great if they had a removable re-placeable filter so you only have to buy the plastic part once and then you could replace just the filters. That would be a much better value. #SmokeBuddy I am available for consultation : )

> 3 dayI have been smoking and vaping for over 15 years and have used many a spoof to cover my tracks. I now only vape but this thing still works just as well if not better with vapor. Moving anywhere near someone who doesnt smoke can be stressful for me but especially if I know I wont have the opportunity to go outdoors. In the past, this would lead me to use a spoof; generally a Poland spring bottle with lots of tiny pin holes on the bottom filled with drier sheets, ozium or what ever helps eliminate smoke. The problem with spoofs is they really dont work. Their also pretty irritating to make as you need to find the right size bottle, then finding the filler is even more frustrating as drier sheets are not always handy. Ontop of all that, you need to use it several times to get the airflow right and to figure out how much, if any, smoke it removes. Normally this results in air that smells both like Lysol and weed but is rarely effective. (it also begs the question..Why does it smell like Lysol and weed in here?) With the smoke buddy, i can take a huge, milky bag of volcano vapor and the result will be no smell in the room. Its pretty amazing to see a bag full of vapor just disappear as it goes through the device. Im pretty sure the magic inside is just activated carbon as i am familiar with its carbon scrubbing attributes but man, does it ever work! The most smoke or vapor youll see will undoubtedly come from the gap between the plastic mouthpiece and your mouth. It can be a bit tricky to get it to seal properly (especially if you have a beard) but if you stick your lips out just right, absolutely nothing will come out the other end. This thing is so effective, its a MUST have if you light up in the car. Youll feel just as stupid as i did once you realize this things been around while youve been doing arts and crafts with water bottles and drier sheets all these years!

> 3 dayNot 100% smell free but about as close as you are going to get. Definitely works, has a quality feel. It does not work nearly as long as I would like it to (except for dabs) and it seems to get harder to blow though the closer to it gets being done but I mostly recommend it for: hotboxing a car, smoking in the garage when when its raining, and sneaking a toke in a public or restricted area. Not a device I will buy once a week because its expensive and it feels more natural to breath straight out anyways but for anybody who has occassional needs for reducing the smell of their herb of choice. But again I must stress that if you are using this soley to smoke instead of vaporize you arent going to get that many sessions put of it. Use it for dabbing inside and emergency smoking situations. Also get your moneys worth and dont bother with the smoke buddy jr unless you really need something that small because this one is only a few bucks more but 3 to 5 times the capacity of the mini version. Damn this review turned to a rant. Sue me.

> 3 dayIve tried pretty much all of the personal air filters on offer from reputable retailers on Amazon and Smoke Buddys product is simply the best option. Like any filter, it only has a certain lifespan and that will be reduced if youre a heavy smoker. That being said Smoke Buddys filter has the best longevity of those Ive tried, not to mention performs among the best at actually neutralizing odors and reducing visible smoke exhaust. The biggest complaint Ive heard is that this product doesnt compare well to homemade alternatives produced much cheaper. I cant argue with those complaints from a value perspective, but I happily purchase the Smoke Buddy because it looks a little more subtle than a toilet paper roll and is exceptionally effective at eliminating odors. If you want to maximize the life of your personal air filter, there is an empty chamber at the top of the filter that can easily be stuffed with a dryer sheet or even extra cheap surgical masks people may have lying around. You can essentially make a budget prefilter that in my experience multiplies the life of your Smoke Buddy by a factor of 3-4x.

Greater than one weekI feel like I would not buy this again long term just to how much waste this makes if I am replacing it every few months. Otherwise It works well - I can smoke my weed pen inside without anyone else knowing. It is also nice for when I am in public areas where I want to be considerate of others. 8/10 product, minus 2 for the amount of landfill waste this generates when your filter is used up.

> 3 dayI usually smoke at home or in the office. My old setup for getting smoke out was to take a rectangular piece of plexiglass and have a cutout in it to fit my little 6 inch desk fan and use it as a window fan. I got one in my office, and one at home. This works, but still fills the room with the smell of burnt tobacco. Just got the smokebuddy and decided to have a long 2hr smoke. What I had was a Gurkha 7x52 cigar. Heres the pros & cons: PROS: - lightweight - small - gets rid of most of the burnt tobacco odor. - comes with caps. Id imagine after using it many times, itd start to smell, the caps will keep the smells contained. CONS: - you need to use your face to make a tight seal on the smokebuddy, or else smoke will leak. - gotta blow hard, as if you are trying to inflate an air mattress with your lungs. - I got really lightheaded after taking a few exhales through the smokebuddy, not even 1/3 of the way into my smoke, and I was quite nauseous from blowing so hard on the smokebuddy to get it to filter out all the smoke. - filter can not be replaced. once its clogged, you need to buy a new one. Thing for the company to improve on: - have an o-ring/gasket on the exhale end aka where you put you mouth in end - have a looser pack of filter material, can be a thicker pack, just not as tight - change the product so itll take exchangeable cartridges, Id rather small packs of filters than $20 smokebuddies one after another. ======= Overall, for the price, its worth the buy. Ill still be using my fan setup because the smokebuddy does not take care of all the smoke, and the occasional leak from not shoving my face against it. Blowing through this thing, is really annoying, and I stopped using it all together half-way into my 7 cigar. I wasnt getting lightheaded from the nicotine, but instead from the smoke filter. It works, but needs improvements.

> 3 dayHelps to reduce smells significantly, just wish the filter was changeable.
