> 24 hourFirst off I must state that Im not a climber. I intend to use these for my safety harness that I use for my deer stand. I tested these by hanging from my harness and they held my weight (225 lbs static) without an issue. They seem to be well made aluminum caribeener with a good fit and finsih. Its reassuring that they are EN and CE certified (see pic) for people that will use them in a serious capacity. They come well packaged and well documented by the manufacturer.

> 24 hourI will never come close to testing the limit of these carabiners. They are large and plenty strong for anything I may use them for, which will not include rock climbing. One thing to note: the listing claims that these are twist-lock, and all but the D-shape star gray version do appear in the images to be just that. The D-shape star gray is actually a threaded lock, requiring the orange knurled section to be rotated a few full turns to lock or unlock the latch. They are NOT quick twistlock as described. I personally dont care about this, but some people might.

> 24 hourThese things are HUGE! and almost as big as your hand, but exceptionally well made. The d-ring shaped carabiners from SOB are built to last, and you can handle tough jobs with aplomb. The twist-to-lock feature is easy to control even one-handed, and will come in handy in those tight situations when things get tricky. I consider these to provide incredible value for your money considering that theyre not the typical cheap and flimsy carabiners found in most big-box retail stores. This powerful set of two made of 7075 aircraft aluminum alloy, will stand the test of time. This is a 5-star product that I would buy again.

> 24 hourThis is a very well made clip. I have not seen any deformities after load bearing (my personal safety rule is to never exceed ,70 of rated weight capacity). These are great for use around ok around the house, garage and campsite.

> 24 hourThe only drawback that keeps these from perfection is the goop. It’s lubricated a little too much and instantly got my fingers messy. The colors are REALLY cool too. Feels like these could hold an elephant. I am very pleased with these and you will be too. Just pack some wet wipes.

> 24 hourI am not a mountain climber and I have no plans to use these for that purpose. A good carbineer can be used for a variety of other purposes - some for safety and some for anything you might want to shackle. Keep in mind that these are large, well-made, heavy duty carbineers. I keep mine in my car, for unforeseen circumstances in which this device would be useful. They are well made and have a good locking system. They can even be used to hold a fishing rod in or a kite in place. I have read the positive comments in other reviews, and I agree with them.

> 24 hourCarabiners are one of those things you can never have too many of - a good strong carabiner is one of the most versatile tools you can carry. These are large and made for serious use. All surfaces are very smooth and well polished so as not to abrade the ropes they are made to work with. The screw lock mechanism is well made and works smoothly. The spring loaded gate is strong and won’t just fall open. I’m not a climber, but if I was I’d trust these. There’ll get used for camping and various other backcountry activities. They’re an excellent vale and easy to recommend with a good conscience.

> 24 hourIm not an avid climber, so maybe Im unfamiliar with the language used here -- but Im frustrated these are the twist several times to (un)lock not the quarter turn twist to (un)lock. I feel like the description implied these were the quick & easy quarter-turn rather than the screw-lock. Ill find a use for these, but Id find more uses if they were more convenient to open.
