I bought them just to hang stuff off my pack. They are a bit overkill for that, but will def do the job. Good to have in case I ever actually need to use them with rope. If you are just looking for an accessory type carabiner, this is more than you need.

Carabiners are one of those things you can never have too many of - a good strong carabiner is one of the most versatile tools you can carry. These are large and made for serious use. All surfaces are very smooth and well polished so as not to abrade the ropes they are made to work with. The screw lock mechanism is well made and works smoothly. The spring loaded gate is strong and won’t just fall open. I’m not a climber, but if I was I’d trust these. There’ll get used for camping and various other backcountry activities. They’re an excellent vale and easy to recommend with a good conscience.

You never really want to cheap out with climbing equipment, right? Its been about a decade since Ive climbed and am considering getting back into it. These are light weight, lock well, seem comparable to other brand name climbing carabiners I have. However, one of them appears to have a dent on arrival (see photo). Will this affect the safety of the biner if you fall climbing? I dont know. Probably not, but? Maybe someone who knows a little more than me can answer that.

I use this carabiner to hold 2-3 dog leashes and it works perfectly. It opens wide enough to put the leashes inside without much problem, but is light and compact enough that is easy to store or hang

Great carabiners. Will buy them again. Great material, construction and price. Although it is mentioned in the description that they are big, yes they are. Bigger than the regular ones. But worth the price and material.
