> 3 daySilicon is very durable and heat resistant and I do a lot of soldering and some brazing with propane so this mat was exactly what I needed to insure I won’t mark up and burn customers tables or flooring the red hot solder just hit the mat and cools down. Great price compared to having to replace flooring or countertops!

> 3 dayReally nothing to complain about with this mat at all. It doesnt burn with direct contact of the soldering iron, it has plenty of slots to keep small items like capacitors and even a wet sponge to clean your soldering tip. I havent had to really get in deep to clean it yet, but the material seems like itd be easy enough to clean without problems. The working space is good enough even if youre working on a full ATX computer motherboard, but just barely. Its more than spacious enough for my needs of general repairs at home. Ive stored it away curled up in a fairly tight roll overnight to see if it would hold its shape for a while after laying it flat and to my surprise it went down completely flat and without distortion. Its a great mat for soldering and Im completely happy with it.

> 3 dayIts an okay little mat. Not really crazy about the designs/holder on the right side. I like the measurement layout on the top and left side, good for measuring wire length, thats about it. Also a good anti-static mat for electronics (would still recommend a ground strap on your hand if youre working with something expensive). I wish the mat was a little bigger but the dimensions are in the title so thats my problem. Overall not bad, do not set your soldering iron directly on the pad for a long time, it will probably burn through despite the resistance rating.

> 3 dayExcellent quality mat for any type of detail work or hobby that can benefit from a neat, organized, and heat resistant work area. I first used mine on top of a large artists table to protect the surface while soldering and I liked it so much I keep it in place most of the time now. The nuetral grey surface is great to work on and the many divided sections around the big work area really do keep tiny parts from rolling around. I even like the added reinforced hole along one side because it is handy to be able to hang it up out of the way if needed. For such an inexpensive purchase this mat has turned out to be a very valuable tool in more ways than I had even imagined before.

> 3 dayI love that this mat is ESD! I have used it to repair micro-electronic circuit boards and without worry that they will be damaged by ESD. It worked very well. I recommend the larger sized mat 13”, as it gives plenty of space for your work. I also enjoy that there are multiple different spaces that are dedicated to hold small items. Buy this with confidence. (IMHO)...

> 3 dayAlthough heat resistance is very good and it doesn’t hold as much electrostatic charge as regular silicone mats, it still seems to hold a slight one even on top of my actual ESD free mat. Basically, it actually attracts itself to my arm as I hold it up, indicating an electrostatic charge. Not as much as my regular one, so at this point I can’t tell if is really ESD free or not. I’ll see if I can find a way to measure it, if any. Otherwise, is a pretty decent soldering mat.

> 3 dayIve been thinking about getting one of these mats for some time now and I finally decided to do so when I caught my kids using the glue gun on my wooden table with nothing to protect my table. This mat is the perfect size because it has plenty of room for midsize projects and all the accessories and still have some elbow room. I was worried that it might be a little too small but actually its a larger size than I thought. I like that its so flexible because it rolls up pretty easily and I can just put a rubber band around it so its easier to store. It cleaned up pretty well too which was a nice plus. The rubbery texture serves two purposes. One, it keeps it from sliding around on the table and two, it does a great job of containing little bits and pieces so they dont roll off the mat and onto the carpeting or kitchen floor where they could be easily lost. This actually makes it a really good project mat whether were using heat or not.

Greater than one weekI needed a soldering pad so I wouldnt burn my table when soldering on my RC cars. Luckily I found this pad on Amazon. Really impressed with how heat resistance it is and the protection it offers my table top and surface. I also like all the little built in dividers for holding tiny parts like screws and such. Its really a bargain and highly recommend if you need a soldering iron pad and parts organization on your work table.

> 3 dayI used this for soldering and it did not melt or burn when I was using a solder at 300 degrees. I dont really care for the little containers, but could be useful for things not to roll around.

> 3 dayI was attempting to de-solder an smd component when I noticed the mat was starting to warp under the heat.
