great product. the test button is very sensitive. the slightest stroke across the button will cause it to test the GFI

The red light was very dim. It would have been okay if the output was as advertised. I got 3 lights on when I put it into an open ground situation. You can barely even see that the red light is on.

Rugged, good instrument, can make your home safer or assure you that it is safe.

Bought an open box. No difference from new one.

I checked all the outlets on the main floor, works well.

It is hard to tell sometimes which pieces are lit up. Not sure if this is due to weak ground wire connections or what. I have ended up opening up outlet plates to confirm grounding. In general, though, this was very useful to me when touring houses to buy to make sure the 50+ year old houses had properly grounded 3-prong outlets.
