> 3 dayBecause this item is wood, it could use better packaging. Mine arrived in a bag and unfortunately there was a crack in one piece and several of the corners were chipped. I knew it wasnt gone to bode well when a piece of broken wood fell out of the box as soon as I opened it. Luckily, customer service was great and handled the issue. But definitely open and inspect as soon as you receive! Since it was damaged I unfortunately did not get to use the item, but it seems like it would be well made and serve the purpose intended if intact.

> 3 daySeriously, I didnt understand the Squatty Potty thing at first. I saw one at a friends home and thought, What is that? Something for their daughter to climb up on the toilet? Then I stumbled upon a description for the Squatty Potty by chance and thought, Youve GOT to be kidding me, right? However, since I am an adventurous soul cursed with a challenging colon, I thought Id give it a try when it was on sale a while ago (and I was dealing with a bout of difficult poos). It arrived and I spent about 15 minutes assembling it - its not that difficult, and I appreciate the minimalist packaging that doesnt waste paper nor plastic. After I had it set up, I was struck both by the stylistic grace of the piece and by the urge to try it out - unfortunately, my colon wasnt cooperating just that moment. So I waited. A little later on that night, I was rewarded and tried it out... ...and was pleasantly surprised. Yes, it really DID make my poo easier. Not, this no longer requires any effort and Im now seeing butterflies and rainbows and unicorns when I poop but more, this is easier and less stressful. and Im beginning to understand why people feel like reading in the bathroom.... Also, the cat LOVES it. Not for scratching, but for rubbing against. Since its quite nicely finished bamboo, Im not too worried - theres no splinters anywhere on it to worry about him getting hurt rubbing himself against while I use the toilet, and the wood is sealed well enough that Im not worried about germs getting stuck. In short, recommended for ANYONE who has challenges passing poop. *With apologies to Mr. Coulton for lifting his lyrics.

Greater than one weekGood, but the assemble was annoying. I definitely prefer the original.

Greater than one weekI had the plastic one at my house when my now wife saw it she made fun of me. I told her, use it. She did and now we have the three most expensive ones they make. Thanks squatty potty for turning my $15 splurge into an almost $100 purchase… it works by the way, that’s why we have them. Do yourself a favor and don’t be like my wife. It’s weird, but trust me, it delivers results.

> 3 dayEasy to put together. Sturdy. Much more aesthetically pleasing than the white plastic ones. Gets the job done.

> 3 dayI didn’t realize until I received the item that this is a genuine, squatty potty item. I love that, once assembled, which was easy to do by the way, the device fits completely underneath the toilet, so it doesn’t stick out really at all. And it definitely does its “job “! There are also two different heights, depending on how extreme of a squat you would like to achieve. My kids also use it as a stepstool so bonus there!

> 3 dayOk, the Squatty Potty is where it is at. I’ve had surgery that sometimes makes #2 a bit more challenging, but once I got this it was an absolute game changer. It makes everything move so much more smoothly.

> 3 dayWorks as intended and looks good. Prefer the wood to the plastic. Easy to assemble. Directions were pretty thorough. The only con to this item is that it is very uncomfortable for bare feet. The top feels a little rough. If that is the trade off for wood vs plastic then I’ll live with it

> 3 dayI have the original SP and as with countless others, its transformed my time on the porcelain throne. Recently I added another bathroom to my house so it was time to order another SP. Went with this one because of the two height option feature and the nicer aesthetic. One big plus which I had not considered is it hides much better under the toilet bowl when not in use whereas the original SP still stuck out a lot. The drawback of this is there is less room for your feet, especially when using the taller height side. For me, its not an issue but I could see some people preferring the full footprint to rest their feet upon. I think the tradeoff of a better looking, more compact, and height optional model is worth the small sacrifice of less area for your feet. The other thing worth mentioning is you do need to assemble it. However it is extremely easy and the hardware is included (4 screws and an allen wrench). A nice detail added are little covers to insert over the screw heads to make them blend in more with the wood look. Assembly shouldnt take more than 5 minutes for even the least handy of individuals out there.
