Wife wore out her old basic dell mouse, wanted a replacement. No desire for a gazillion buttons, just a nicely sized mouse that reacts when its supposed to. This one fit the bill! Its comfortable in the hand, and nicely affordable. If you desire simplicity, here it is! (there are side buttons, but you can happily ignore them if you dont want to use them.)

Comfy and light mouse with great sensor. Reliable for over a year now. There are two minor problems: No memory for macros or button bindings, so you would need to run steelseries engine to use them. This means the 6th button (dpi toggle) is useless unless you run that crapware 24/7. At least it remembers that you turned the LED off. Also, it will make random movements or button presses every few months, but it will be fine if you unplug and replug it. Even with these minor flaws I really like it.

When it comes to owning a mouse, I prioritize functionality, durability, and a minimalist design. The Steel Series definitely meets all of the above, and then some. I especially like how they didnt over-style the device, yet added some small touches here and there to uniquely label their brand. My first Steel mouse was the Sensei Rubberized RAW. Compared to that, the Rival 110 feels a bit lacking, but is overall another nice addition to my collection of peripheral devices. -What I like about the Rival110: The matte texture is more pronounced than the Sensei, so the grip feels more solid and theres less junk that visibly adheres to the surface (compared to glossy finishes). The plastic sides with the bumps also help with the grip. The orange lighting on the Steel logo and the scroll wheel is a definite favorite of mine. -What I dont like so much about the Rival110: Its a lot lighter and smaller than the Sensei; I have large hands and like to feel the weight of the mouse under me, so the Rival isnt as great a fit for me size-wise. Also, despite the nice texture, it feels like a cheaper construct than the Sensei. This is notable with the plastic sides, the design of the logo (if you look at the accompanying photos, notice how the Rival logo is just a solid block while the Sensei logo is actually composed of several little pixels/dots), and the choice of material for the wire (flexible textile-like material for the Sensei vs. traditional material for the Rival). The Rival is a great mouse to own, and apparently was designed for gaming, so its an excellent addition for anyone. However, in the future, Im probably going to stick with the Sensei due to my personal preference (as described above).

This is a light and basic gaming mouse from SteelSeries. Got it for a friend and he’s likes using it. But says it’s maybe too light.

Apparently, this is a known issue, either with this brand or this 110 mouse. Only having this mouse for 11 months before breaking and realizing I wont buy another SteelSeries mouse ever again, I decided to just take the mouse apart to see what the issue is after seeing forum posts and youtube videos complaining of the same problem. Those complaints were correct. The micro switches on the PCB of the thumb button area of the mouse are not flush or secured to the PCB and just wobble around, eventually leading to it bending and not registering clicks anymore. Theres zero way they couldnt have known that was going to happen to people and are just going along with it and selling the mouse anyway. Intentional or not, who cares. It worked great when it worked, but once this happens, the mouse is done. Only 11 months later. And its advertised as a gaming mouse. Knowing this, Im not going to bother with an RMA, even if its replaced with properly secured micro switches. They could have easily just pulled the mouse from the market or did a recall or something, but. I guess not. Im not going to do business with a company that does that.

The cable is thin, looks cheap, but I havent had any issues with it so far. I love that I can share my settings profile over multiple devices and that it has an app for Mac OS. Great product!

Love this mouse. I got it with the steelseries apex 350 keyboard as well and they work really well together. you can set the mouse and the keyboard to change between 4 different colors combos with the clock of a button. the mouse only displays one color at a time though. its really smooth to use as well and i can actually tell a difference in my speed when im working because its so smooth and precise. Im not a gamer so im not sure how well it does in games but if i had to guess its wonderful. The reviews i saw on youtube gave it pretty good reviews and has gaming demonstrations.

Replaced my rival 100 with this mouse after the left click broke. So far it has performed well and the steelseries engine works great. Has nice RGB Biggest concern is how it feels very similar to the rival 100 which did hold up well to hard mouse clicks but not much can withstand a raging 9 year old playing Overwatch or Fortnite.
