Strathmore Mixed Media Vellum, 5 x 6-7/8 Inches, White, 10 Cards & Envelopes

Strathmore unquestionably makes great products. One is this watercolor postcards. I like the fact that it is just small. Painting on it is easy because of the texture and thickness of the paper. The size is just right. You would not get tired from painting on that small paper. The paper easily comes right off the binding. You would not have to worry about tearing it off. It may be a little pricey for a pad of 15 but for me it is still worth it. You get to design and personalize your own postcard for you to send out to family and friends. I would recommend this product especially if you plan to share your paintings to everyone.

Its kind-of hard to neatly fold watercolour paper to perfect looking cards, these are great, good quality paper and the envelopes are good quality too.

I wish there had been some information about the weight of the paper. I expected a similar weight to the Strathmore watercolor cards or their mixed media cards. These are so light and flimsy they will hardly stand up. They are a bit better used in portrait orientation rather than landscape orientation. Less stress on the fold that way, so they at least dont fall flat. I might try using them that way. On the other hand it might be better to return them, cut some black watercolor paper to the needed size and then attach the picture to a watercolor or mixed media card. Disappointing after my good experiences with other Strathmore cards.

The cards are getting less than 5 stars because they came with corner bends on both the envelopes and cards due to poor packaging. I would have returned them but thought it would be on just a few but each card and envelope have at least one corner bent. Ive used them before without this problem.

Love these. I make watercolor greeting cards with these and they work good. I wish it didnt buckle as much when I use a little extra water. But otherwise great value for the money. I already repurchased this. Comes with envelopes for each card. Sturdy and quality.

I really like the product. In my view there is nothing like sending out a hand made card for just about any reason. This product makes it easy. I like to tape them down which gives you a nice border. The 140lb weight paper holds-up even wet on wet. Line and wash is also great with this grade of paper. Hey I can mess up a card and cut a replacement or use Hot press paper if needed and having a envolope the correct size is great. I use them often Im just learning but you done need a masterpiece to put a smile on someones face with an original hand painted card. I love this product and will be thinking about Christmas cards soon. Im having fun and this product meets my needs.
