Strathmore Mixed Media Vellum, 5 x 6-7/8 Inches, White, 10 Cards & Envelopes

These are good quality cards. I prefer sending personalized cards and these do fit the bill. Theyre well made, nice to use and Im happy sending them to friends and family... although as often as not I just cut a page out of a sketchbook and send that as a card. All of that said, you can get the same result in a more economical way (and if youre already painting in watercolor then with material you probably already have). Cutting down full size watercolor sheets will yield as many cards for something like half the price... although these are printed on the back, so they look a little more official I suppose. Having purchased and used these I would just recommend getting a pad of 9x12 and cutting pages down as needed.

Holiday cards

Really liked these for my first watercolor card project. No “waffling” of paper. Finished cards are good quality ( “right” thickness ) and I think contributed to compliments received. Price reasonable, as both card and envelope together are less than $1. Bought more as a gift to someone who wanted to try making their own cards. Will buy again.

The cards themselves are excellent quality water color paper. The cards though are really one sided (the inside had hardly any texture). The envelopes are great as envelopes but they are a different, thinner paper. Overall I would highly recommend this. Of the many different types of water color cards Ive tried these are by far the best!

I have other artist papers from Strathmore, and the quality is always first-rate. The 50-count pack of cards and envelopes has the best price, and when I got this set, it was an even better price on sale. I think that these cards will be great for practicing my watercolor painting and will make a nice change from store-bought cards.

I usually purchase at hobby stores, no longer carried. I ordered a box of 50 and received my order the same day. These r great ,hold color well,easy to work with.

These are great cards for watercolor art. Sometimes they may warp a bit but you can avoid this with some painters tape or storing it under a heavy book for a day. They are just the right size and I love the way they hold water and color!

So happy with this purchase. Strathmore didnt disappoint. The paper quality is good for water colors. The texture is great as well. The paint bleeds well. The size is perfect for greeting cards, envelopes are well constructed. The cards also have a nice crease line. Economical purchase - bought when the box was $35.

Nice paper for water color. Accepts water well. However cards do curl. Need to tape card to surface while working with them until dry or press them after. Texture of paper is problem for some pens.

Dont warp much at all if you tape them down. Do well with a reasonably dry design, but I am having trouble with my background washes coming out very blotchy. I think I am going to stick to a plain white background for the rest of my cards.
