I gave my son white Pitt pens and I wanted to include black paper. I chose Strathmore 400 series and he said it is just what he needed.

Great for metallic water colour lettering

This heavyweight paper is great for cardmaking and accepts wet media very well. Will reorder and try other colors as well.

The smooth vellum finish shows detailed 2H pencil shading and can take heavy lines using a 2B pencil, so artwork has great depth. The colour of the paper is a warm white. Acrylic paint goes on very smoothly and dries very fast.

I never thought paper could make that big of a difference! I use Prismacolor pencils and the color just went so smoothly.

Good quality paper. I must have misread dimensions as the picture makes it seem like a normal size pad of paper (like printer size) but it is tiny. Needed for paint so didnt want it to bleed. It honestly does everything it says it will , just very small.

This is my second time getting this paper pad. I like that I can use if for pencil, pen, watercolor, or acrylic paint. I have been primarily using it for acrylic paint. The paper does start to bend after I paint on it but I make sure to flatten the paintings afterwards by either framing or using weights on them. I do notice that acrylic paint dries much faster on the paper than on canvas so it does paint a bit differently but I still like the effect for simple paintings and it is so affordable to use paper.
