Its a great sketchbook, except only having 15 sheets. I prefer to sketch on smaller sketch pads and the thickness of the paper makes it a good find.

This paper can stand some water. It holds up under gouache , watercolor, and even acrylic paint. A really heavy wash would cause it to buckle (cockle). I have used it for gouache and watercolor pencil.

Esse papel é ótimo para quem busca desenhar tanto com lápis de cor, quanto com aquarela e gouache (que é o meu caso). Não apliquei ainda água excessiva nele, mas onde o fiz não houve nenhuma ondulação. Consegui fazer várias camadas com lápis de cor profissional (Derwent Drawing), possibilitando realismo e profundidade... O fato de poder usar aquarela e gouache permite uma fama de efeitos ainda maior no resultado final. As cores claras se destacam muito! O tamanho é um pouco menor do que uma folha A3 (mesma largura, 6 cm mais baixo). O único porém é que as folhas vieram destacadas, mas nenhuma estava amassada / danificada.

Takes colors smoothly with less layering needed for rich pigmenting.

The smooth vellum finish shows detailed 2H pencil shading and can take heavy lines using a 2B pencil, so artwork has great depth. The colour of the paper is a warm white. Acrylic paint goes on very smoothly and dries very fast.

Look carefully before purchasing! There are two different pictures shown for this item. One is black and wire bound. When you click on it, you get a pic of a brown non wire bound pad. The black wire bound one is what shows up in my purchase history and in the screen Im in right now writing the review... but thats not what came and not what shows on the product detail screen where you purchase it. We wanted wire bound pads and I failed to notice that the picture changed when I clicked on it. Other than that my daughters quite happy with the product.

This was not what I was expecting. I was expecting the sheer vellum sheets. Instead it is thick paper with a very smooth side and the other not quite as smooth. It seems more like watercolor paper to me. That being said, it is WONDERFUL for my die cuts. A very sturdy paper that gives depth. So while not what I was expecting, its really nice and I will buy more when this is used up. I just didnt know what I was looking at.
