Streamlight 75813 Stinger DS C4 LED Flashlight with AC/DC Steady Charger, Black - 425 Lumens

I bought this light in 2009 and have used at least weekly since. PROS: super bright, solid feel, rechargeable, strobe. CONS: NiCad battery pack, switch failed after 1.5 years. To be clear, the switch issue does not render this light useless, but rather than a definite click to toggle through the HI, MED, LOW, STROBE settings, it will change with the slightest touch. More of an annoyance than a lack of performance. Because of this, it will turn on by itself in a drawer, and therefore have no charge when I go to use it. There is a limited lifetime warranty, but the switch is only covered for 2 years. I regret not knowing this/acting before now.

This is a very nice light. Powerfully bright, wow. I love the adjustable, 3 levels of brightness. This is nice if you walk at night and want to conserve your battery power. The construction seems excellent, its machined aluminum, no doubt tough, and its not the fatiguing baseball bat that the old Mag Lite was. In fact its really light and comfortable. It balances extremely well in your hand. So lets see in summary: super bright, long lasting led bulb, rechargeable battery, built-tough aluminum, fits like a Rolex in your hand. Whats not to like?

Great flashlight, plenty of light to work with. And the batteries hold a charge, don’t go dead quickly.

I use this flashlight daily at work, its solid and well designed. Its larger than the AA flashlights. I wear it on my belt in a flashlight loop. The on off switched are easy to use, you click one for on, once and hold to cycle through the light brightness levels, once to shut off. click twice for the strobe light. The size is just right to hold comfortably and the tail switch is convenient, i rarely use the body switch. I charge it once a week. My use is continuous, constantly turning is on, over 1000 times each month to see details Im inspecting.

Streamlight is perfect if you need to be able to look to the other side of the crawlspace or attic when performing an inspection. I have two now and feel that these are way better than some of the Tactical flashlights that talk about being 1000 lumens+. Those are for broad illumination, not direct stream. I would highly recommend this flashlight to anyone who is a Professional Home/Building Inspector - one of the best tools in my toolbox!!

I never thought I would spend over $100.00 for a flashlight, but I am glad I did. My brother convinced me I needed it. When I first got it and turned it on I thought, on no what did I spend all this money on, I did first turn it on in broad daylight. I then took it to my cabin in the woods. It is pitch and I mean pitch black there. My goal this summer was to walk to the back of the 10 acres, in the pitch black, to get over my fear of the dark woods. So flashlight in hand, off I went. WOW, it truly lit up the woods. I would say the range was about 50 feet. I made it to the back of the 10 acres. It was like having a mini sun. This thing is smaller than a 3 cell mag light (which I am now throwing out) I highly recommend it. It is incredibly bright.

I BOUGHT THIS FLASHLIGHT TO REPLACE MY OLDER STINGER.....AND LET ME TELL YA, THIS LIGHT IS NOTHING SHORT OF PERFECT. THREE TIMES BRIGHTER THEN THE OLD ONE. A LITTLE LONGER THEN I AM USED TO BUT WITH THE DUAL SWITCH, BRIGHTNESS ADJUSTMENT AND STROBE MODE, IT CERTAINLY MAKES UP FOR IT. I RESEARCHED, FOR A WHILE, ON THE DIFFERENT MODELS AND PRICES AND FOUND THIS TO BE ABSOLUTLY THE BEST DEAL. DONT FOOL YOURSELF.......GET IT AND FORGET ABOUT FLASHLIGHT ISSUES FOR A LONG TIME. only down side is the price but as they say you get what you pay for and i do not regret it one bit. a side note... if you are like me and only make short trips and plan on using the car charger, make sure it is on a power port that stays on. the short charging cycles, form short distance drives, do nothing to charge the battery.

I love these flashlights. We have several at work, and I had to buy my own. The wife wasnt happy about $100+ for a flashlight, but whatever. These things are bright, and super durable.
