I used this tape to bind loose bookcases and appliances to the walls of my home in case of an earthquake. I feel much more comfortable now knowing they should withstand some shaking without falling over. This was my only purpose in using this tape as I found the front loops do not connect well to most other material although I have not tired it on many substances, but the back adheres tightly to a wall.

The adhesive is the worst part of this product and it’s the reason I cannot give this product a five star rating. That being said, I still gave it four stars because of how strong the Velcro is. I wasn’t expecting it to be so strong, I’ve never experienced a Velcro that has such a strong hold. I hope they do make changes to the adhesive because other than that issue, I really love the Velcro and wish I could use it for more but with such weak adhesive it’s limited my use of the product.

Im going to return this. I used it for a side pocket cargo net in my car and it didnt hold at all. If theres the pressure or pull on it, the adhesive wont hold.

This Velcro sticks to itself strongly, but the problem is the adhesive that holds it in place does not attached to the item it is applied to! I put it on a wooden pillar on my patio to hold mosquito netting in place. I cleaned the post well, and put the velcro tape on. At first it stuck solidly, but the next morning I went out to check on it and all the tape had become unglued from the post. All I can think of is that it couldnt handle the Florida heat, and it failed miserably! I had to use a industrial staple gun to make it stay in place on both sides of the velcro. This kind of defeats the purpose of putting adhesive on the velcro in the first place.( Ie... Self- Adhering). I did order two more rolls of this tape, as I really needed to finish netting off my patio. I will take the extra steps to repeat the stapling process to insure it stays in place. This worked for me on this project, but what about those areas where some people will not have access to do the same! Bottom line, this was not a product I would not recommend! Will not buy again after this project is finished. NO WAY...

I bought this velcro to keep my couch cushions from constantly sliding forward. The good news is that the velcro itself works great. Both strips have a very strong hold on one another. However, the adhesive itself is not ideal for fabric. I get that description of the item stated that it is suitable for flat surfaces like wood, glass, and plastic, but I was really hoping that it could be more versatile. After a full day, the couch cushions are mostly in place and I only have to readjust the seats at the end of the night. However, the real problem comes when I want to remove the cushions from the couch. Because the velcro itself is so strong and the adhesive doesnt like fabric, the two strips will stick to each other, but completely rip off from the cushion itself. I also attempted to sew the velcro in place, similar to how the couch manufacturer had some velcro sewed onto the back cushions, however my non-industrial sewing machine cant handle the job and the velcro is too thick to hand sew through. Overall, if you need some strong velcro to adhere onto a flat surface made out of the manufactures suggested materials (wood, plastic, and glass), this velcro works great! If like me, you need to stick it onto soft surfaces like fabric, Id suggest you look elsewhere. PROS: +Velcro strips have a strong hold on one another +Easy to install +Comes in a large size (width) and roll enough for large projects with plenty left over CONS: -Not suitable for soft surfaces like fabric -Too thick to reinforce with stitches

This is better than the original Velcro IMO. I use it primarily on boat covers and that type of application, so its also sewn on after sticking in place. I only gave 3 stars for easy to remove because it really sticks and actually damaged the fabric I was applying it to when I placed it a bit crooked the first time. Thankfully the damage was cosmetic only and able to be hidden by the final placement. For applications that dont need to be sewn, as long as the surface is clean and free of any debris prior to placing, this stuff is GREAT!!!
