Without chemical or heat cauterization (things not generally available to the public) pressure is the time honored method of stopping a bleed. This product does exactly that, and does it well. It has literally been battle tested, and while I have fortunately not had to use it on myself, I always have one in my car and hiking/camping med kits. Dont leave home without one in your med kit. Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

> 3 dayI havent used the product and hopefully never will have to. My wife has Atrial fibrillation and takes a blood thinner so having medical supplies in an emergency situation is critical. As noted hopefully well never have to open the package but if we do it could be the difference in a life or death situation, bleeding can kill you in a hurry and getting it stopped in an effective manner is critical. I had read about these before and for the price it s a very inexpensive insurance policy.

Step 1Place primary dressing pad face-down on wound and wrap elastic bandage around limb. |
Step 2Insert elastic bandage into pressure bar opening. |
Step 3Pull elastic bandage in same direction until fully tight. |
