> 3 dayI have always had difficulty finding a good hybrid backpack. All the camera bags are great but I never needed the modularity since the cameras I carry are 360 cameras. Camera backpacks feel a little useless since I don’t need to carry lenses with me but the side pocket for shoes makes it easy to store my 360 camera/gear while providing me easy & convenient access when needed. I cannot speak to the durability of this since I just started using the backpack this month. But it is a very well made Swiss gear backpack and I can tell the reinforced shoulder straps and top handle are made to last. I cannot wait for my next trip to truly put this to the test. But so far so good and I am very happy with my investment.

> 3 dayI was expecting a free lock with it as I read from the reviews. Anyway, mine did not have a free lock with it when it arrived. So I ordered 2 locks just now, for I was very satisfied with my purchase, though it took more than a week for them to ship it. Arrived ahead of schedule.

> 3 dayAbout a year ago, I bought a different backpack off Amazon. It had (and still has) very good reviews from very many people. It served its purpose and has held up well, but I wanted something with more pockets/compartments and with more laptop protection. I picked this one mainly because of the shoe compartment. I use my backpack for work and often bring a second pair of shoes so that I can switch between work shoes and comfortable shoes. I will say though that it is a little annoying having the bag part of the compartment loose in the main zipped area. I don’t think I realized it would be that way. The reinforced glasses compartment is also nice, but similarly it gets in the way in the main compartment. I think the design of these two compartments could be improved. My favorite thing, which I wasn’t even looking for in a backpack, is the elastic in the straps. It makes the backpack so much more comfortable. My laptop is quite heavy and then when you add in a water bottle and all the other miscellaneous things, it’s even heavier. My shoulders and back used to hurt from my last backpack and I always thought it was just because of what I was carrying. I don’t even notice the weight now. I took off one star for two minor reasons, but I would still recommend and re-purchase this backpack. 1) the zippers are loud. So loud that others comment on them, no matter how carefully I try to zip and unzip. I think they’re meant to be heavy duty and sturdy, but it’s a bit excessive. 2) the cross emblem on my bag is noticeably crooked. It’s not a big deal, but I paid $100 for this bag and I don’t love that it looks kind of like a knock off. It’s such an easy simple thing that shouldn’t be off. I’ve tried to see it can be turned, but sadly it can’t.

> 3 dayYou want a bag that has so many random compartments & features that youll probably never use all of them? This is the bag for you. Style is great - all black is really sleek looking. The shoulder straps are hefty and work best when strapped. This isnt a great bag for just school or daily use... Its wayyyy overkill for that. Awesome for camping/traveling with all the tech sleeves and features though.

Greater than one weekWhile there is a separate space for shoes, you cant fit a womens size 9.5 in the opening without smooshing the backs of the heel down...not ideal! Also, when you have shoes in that area you are very restricted on the interior space for other items. I would say this backpack is on the smaller to mid size...not something that works for middle school/high school needs!! We ultimately sent it back. If you need something small I can say the stitching/design looked solid/well made. If you are expecting to pack gym shoes and carry a laptop and notebooks this is not the backpack for you!!

> 3 dayI bought this backpack for a trip.it has many useful pockets and the ability to open up the laptop section. My only complaint is that you have to choose to either carry a water bottle or an umbrella on the outside. It doesn’t have outside pockets on each side

> 3 dayIm afraid Ill be losing things in this bag for the next couple years while I grow accustomed to its near magical abilities. Im not complaining, this bag for me holds two laptops, a full-size set of headphones in case, multiple chargers, battery backup pack, plus a million other things. It even has an insulated pocket for cold or hot stuff. What the hell?! If the next version has a microwave built-in I wouldnt be the least bit surprised. SwissGear really outdid themselves here. If youve got one of their older bags that is finally looking too battered over a decade of use (this is me), youll be amazed at the upgrade.

Greater than one weekThis bag is great. Not huge and not small just the right size. Has a good amount of organization and compartments to keep things In their place. The old thing that would be better is if the keep cold zipper pouch was bigger. I can keep a tall red bull in there but a 1lt water bottle size would have been nice. Other than that I think this bag is perfect. Its my daily laptop backpack as I travel to different sites for work.
