This is the second screen I have gotten from this company. I must say I am extremely disappointed to have the same issue twice. The home button is not seated properly and there is a dead spot on the digitizer. The first screen we received the dead spot was on the right hand side of the screen and this one is in the middle. This was meant to repair my special needs son’s iPad. I guess we should have sucked it up and gone to Apple.

I installed this for one of the iPads at my work so that my managers didnt have to pay a shop to fix the screen or buy a whole new tablet. Obviously the more damaged the screen the harder it will be to remove. However, this screen comes with a home button, which is actually annoying if you didnt break the one on the original screen. You WILL lose touch ID and the button feels super cheap. The included adhesive is next to useless and fell off after a week of use. Overall, this is really not worth the money. Seriously, spend an extra 20 dollars to get a decent screen. (all the tools are nice though :D )

This item was tricky to use. We followed the directions and watched the recommended instructional videos. For some reason the screen is not responsive. We double checked the connections and all is good there. I guess were going to have to try for round 2 (with a different product) before just replacing the iPad (2019 model). Ugh :(

Let me start by saying this installation is very difficult, especially if yours is pretty smashed. i wish you good luck if attempted. The digitizer was packaged well and included all the tools. You will need heat though. The included adhesive strips were good enough to hold it in place. I ordered the one with the home button just in case the existing one was broke. I tried to swap the original but the metal bracket wasn’t correct and the button wouldn’t click. It tried every which way but couldn’t get it to work. I ended up using the one that came with this digitizer. WARNING you will lose Touch ID capability if you use the new one. Wasn’t a big deal for me. Other issue was when trying to transfer home buttons, the white paint scratched off. I was very gentle with it but the paint still scratched off. Now there are visible paint chips on the front of the digitizer. The digitizer functions fine, just some minor issues. Again this is a giant pain in the butt to replace with a cracked screen, but better than paying Apple the same amount of a new iPad to fix it.

The instructions were really annoying to read. We watched a few YouTube videos and followed those instead. Honestly much easier to understand. We watched about 4 or 5 videos and not one of them said to unplug the battery (the instructions do). It is very important that you do so or you could blow a backlight fuse. I feel like the instructions should list this in big bold red letters. This took us about 3-4 hours to do from beginning to end. The first hour was spent trying to get the screen off. It was so badly shattered that we had to keep flaking off small pieces and it took forever. Then we took our time disassembling it because we didn’t want to mess anything up. After doing one, I bet it could be cut in half the time or less. The screen has weird lines in it when it’s off, but I don’t notice it while it’s turned on. It’s been replaced for about 5 days now and it works so great! There are no ghost touches or any sign of delayed or sensitive responses. I took my iPhone to a store to replace a broken screen and it is so sensitive and it drives me crazy. I paid way less for this iPad screen (of course having to do it myself), but this screen works way better than the replacements at a repair shop. I’ll update if anything changes, but so far so good!!

This worked well for me. The touch screen works perfectly. The kit should come with a blade, tweezers with a wider edge, and more plastic pics. But overall it’s a good product.
