> 3 dayAs someone whose got into the whole wet shaving kick a few years ago, Ive sampled probably 30+ high end shaving creams from The Art of Shaving, TOBS, Trufit and Hill, etc. This stuff is a top 5 for me for a few reasons: - The smell is wonderful. A bit like a fancy cologne, but not too strong. Seems to fade shortly after use which is perfect. - Lathers very nicely and isnt too picky about the cream/water mixture - Lathers well even in hard water - Reasonably priced - Moisturizes well I really really like this cream. It says for sensitive skin, although I dont necessarily know if I notice it being any better or worse than the other Taylor offerings for my skin, which is moderately sensitive. The container is a nice shiny black and looks high-end sitting on your countertop. Lately, Ive taken to a normal 5 blade razor and gotten rid of my DE habit just due to time. I find I get much better shaves with the traditional cartridge razors when using this cream vs. something in a can. I find its a good compromise between shave quality and time needed to shave. Highly recommended. Makes a great gift for a guy who has everything.

21-11-2024Please be very careful there is no protection between the skin and shaver with this product. And it caused issues during and after use.

> 3 dayJust what I was looking for. I have used many different shaving creams and soaps. And while nothing was wrong with the others, I was just looking to try something new, and see if I was missing anything. Previously Ive used Crabtree and Evelyn, Art of Shaving, and Jack Black. Im a fan of the last two, as I like the shaving cream vs shaving soap of C&E. My wife is a fan of the scent of this soap. She commented the first time that I used it. I am a fan of how well it lathers, and the quality of the shave that I get. I currently shave with a safety razor, but I have used this with the fusion razor system. I have been pleased with both shaves. It builds a nice lather that stays where you brush it, and helps to lift the hairs to make for a closer shave. It also washes out of the brush easy enough, that I cant notice any left when its dry. I will continue to buy this, and I recommend it to anyone that has issues with razor bumps. With others I have used pre-shave oil and shave cream together. But, I have not had to do that with this.

> 3 dayI think Taylor of Old Bond Street (TOBS) makes the best shave cream (at least of the dozen mid-priced that Ive sampled). My favorite TOBS cream is their Avocado in terms of performance, but Jermyn St has the better scent. I wish the scent were stronger. I dont know how to describe it other than it is neither soapy or perfumy but tends to be immediately pleasing with multiple layers. I doesnt last nearly as long as the Sandalwood though. I understand that TOBS was intentionally making a lightly scented cream for sensitive skin, but I wish they would crank it up. In terms of performance I dont think this does as well as Sandalwood or Avocado. Jermyn Street doesnt lather as easily and tends to be have a waxy finish compared to Sandalwood. In terms of performance, I feel the Sandalwood and the Avocado (no it doesnt smell like avocados, more like cucumbers and herbs) are the best of TOBS offerings - I havent tried all, but I have most of them. If you want a lightly scented cream that performs well, give this a try.

> 3 dayI have been wet shaving for a few years now and love it. I have also used Taylor of Old Bond Street products before with great success (Sandalwood is my usual go to) This product was different however and gave me a rash the very first time I used it. This was my first time using the sensitive skin formula. Its disappointing as my wife & I both thought the smell was very pleasant. I guess Ill stick with the original formula.
