13-06-2025This is a novel idea, however the reality is not the best choice. If one uses this as a USB hub, it should be fine. If one wants to use this as a network device, then I would not choose this. Windows, keeps unrecognizing this and disconnects it. Very annoying to say the least. Perhaps an update will fix it but short of that I would not recommend this.

> 3 dayDevice frequently disconnects and windows tells me that the USB device is not recognized while Im using it. Unplugging it and plugging it back in fixes the issue, but this is unacceptable. I cant have a NIC randomly disconnecting when im attempting to push firmware updates to equipment.

> 3 dayI need this to hardwire network connectivity to my laptop for a conference that I was helping run the audio/visual for and the laptop I needed to use did not have a network jack. Right from the start, I was super impressed with the quality of this dongle. I plan to keep it in my computer bag for quick use whenever I need it now. I am super pleased with this.

> 3 dayWorks well, although it is not the least expensive unit, which is the reason I am giving it a four stars.

> 3 dayWorked when installed but the next day we got error messages that it was not functioning. The lights were also off. Returned and hoping the next one works. Update: The new one worked but if left plugged in overnight the lights flash and the computer says there is a problem. Have to unplug and then plug back in to use it. So we unplug it when done and plug it back in the next morning. But why have to do this??? Now it repeatedly disconnects and reconnects. Junk. Getting a different product from another vendor.
