Texas Instruments TI-1795 SV Standard Function Calculator

Larger than expected, but very serviceable. Easy to read and easy to understand. Does all the things necessary for my needs.

Bought for my Father. He says its OK. shuts off quicker than he would like.

I purchased another calculator before this one and was not happy with it. I did not function like my old one I was replacing. I could not do the same things on the new one. I did not like the logic in it. Purchased this Texas Instruments calculator because it sounded like what I was looking for. It is a great and easy to understand calculator. The only thing I can think of that is somewhat disappointing is the curve to the body. It slopes to the readout and to the other side. So, there is a bump in the middle of the keyboard. I have grown used to this.

I needed a calculator for my home work desk, but not a fancy scientific one ; just a basic one that I could use for my monthly bills. This calculator fits that description ; an everyday machine with basic functions that can fit on my desk top, and the price was reasonable, too. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a calculator for similar reasons.

The positive: Large keyboard for my clumsy fingers. Large screen which I can see The negative: Although a large screen, it does not have a backlight - horrible at night with only a desk lamp. Overall a very good calculator.

Product use is obvious. However, here I am, stuck with what is a highly reputable product that does NOT FUNCTION. So, I am faced with inconvenience of returning it! Additionally, NO instructions were included. Although, simplicity of use, really shouldnt require instructions. GOOD GRIEF.

My old calculators number lights went out--3 or 8, 1 or 7, 4 or 9? But I liked its size and shape so I searched for a similar one. This is almost the same except--much better!! The keys and numbers are larger, it has more operations, and does a neat trick: the first number and operation entered become a temporary constant. Like 2+2=4; 3=5; 4=6. Well worth the mere $15 to get it to my door. Made me glad the old one broke!

Love this unit. Size is perfect. Lightweight, but high quality. I have two.
