> 3 dayI used this calculator to write my Society of Actuary (SOA) exam-P, IFM and STAM. This is one of the SOA recommended calculator. I used a lot it function in the pragmatic test center. I recommend to buying at least 5-6 month before the exam date and use manual for practice. Otherwise, You will write your exam without knowing its function which kills your important time in the exam center. Also, better idea to share experience with your friend regarding how to use calculator.

> 3 dayPLEASE NOTE: This is the exact model and the only model that is used for the official GED Test. If you are preparing to take the Official GED Test, this is the calculator you need to learn on. Every TI Calculator model has keys arranged a bit differently. You need to learn to use this one. TI-30XS MultiView Scientific Calculator When you take the GED test they will have an on screen calculator exactly like this, however using an on screen calculator is very awkward. For part 2 of the math test, they will allow you to use your own calculator but only if it is this exact model. Why they replaced the (CASIO fx-260) with this one, Ill never understand, but they did. If it works, fix it, right? Why they think they need multi-view etc, Ill never understand but the calculator for the GED test is now TI-30XS MultiView Scientific Calculator This is the only calculator you should use to prepare and have with you for the official GED test.

> 3 dayJust what I was looking for!! My old TI-83 finally died, but I dont need something so sophisticated for daily use, but I REALLY like the multi-line feature. So far Ive only confirmed that it has that feature, just like the TI-80s, which was my primary desire. *Havent tested anything else out* The cover doesnt slide, it snaps on the front and only covers the button; doesnt wrap around the sides like the larger calculators do. I dont know if the solar-powered battery means longer life; my old calculator ran on AAA batteries and lasted 10-14 yrs. Ill update if I find flaws/issues.

> 3 dayFirst of all, I tried different equations to test the order of operation (OOO) and the calculator performed as expected. I even had to think because it was more correct than my brain. There are 2 types of math modes that may affect OOO, one that allows you to write as you see it in a text book and the other where you have to spell everything out like coding. FYI this was a comment that almost made me not buy this awesome calculator and as others have mentioned...the price is great. Buttons feel good, not too small. There are enough of the common functions clearly displayed and not in menus. I too wish there was a slide cover like other calculators but its not a game changer. It does all of the math that I need and I was allowed to use it for a computer based test (Pearson Professional Center). If you are not into hard core math and just need a really good calculator, I recommend this one. I mean really does everyone know how to properly use a graphing calculator in color? I am guessing not! But if you do...you may still need this backup for standardized tests.
