> 3 dayAwesome calculator. One of the few versions of the TI-30 that shows fractions properly. However, this is my second TI-30 XS, the first one I had broke after three years of loyal service, which is incredible for the price in my opinion.

> 3 dayIn love with everything about this calculator. Ive had a natural-display Casio scientific calculator for the longest time and I hated it because it just could not translate anything into decimals. Like if I plugged in 2/5 and pressed enter, it would spit back 2/5 rather than the decimal equivalent. Or if I tried to divide an uneven number, it would give back a fraction rather than the decimal answer. Which is incredibly frustrating on tests and quizzes when they want the decimal answer...Id have to change the fraction to a decimal by hand, which took a lot more time than if itd just done it for me. ANYWAYS, back to the product. The TI-30xs is so much better because not only does it give you an answer in decimal form, but it also gives you the option to easily view it as a fraction! It also allows you to scroll up to the last 8 or 10 (cant remember which) calculations you made in case you need to refer back to them. These can be cleared out manually or in order as more are produced. The price of it is also great. Being a college student on a budget, I didnt want to have to purchase an expensive calculator yet I needed one that would work for my statistics class. This one is perfect for just that, along with lower level and algebra classes. Just the overall appearance and design of this calculator is perfect. The protective cover easily snaps on the back when in use, or back over the front when not in use. Its slim and light, easily packed away in a backpack or folder in between classes. Lastly, the fact that its both battery AND solar powered is a huge bonus. Again, being a college student, I dont have the time or money to have to worry about replacing dead batteries.

> 3 dayMy teenage son informs me that this has been working quite well for him in his Algebra class in middle school. I grew up using a TI-34 then moved on to a TI-84 graphing calc. I wasnt going to bother buying a new one, as I have a pricey TI-84 that I was using, but his math teacher told us that the students are not allowed to use graphing calculators at this point. I found that this (MUCH) newer model solves some issues I remember being pain points for me with that old TI-34. Firstly, it has a multi-line display. No more weird little symbol to denote a fraction, or a square root. It can actually display the symbol. The most helpful thing though, to me, is the ability to SCROLL BACK UP! I hated doing problems that required a multitude of steps and having to keep writing down every answer along the way so I could plug it back in down the line. The MathPrint feature is nice too, because it displays equations as they should look. This is a scientific-type calculator that honestly got me through about 90% of my grade school math, and I am pretty sure it will get him through several years also. Small thing that I also like: Theres a specific spot to write the students name. Im sure MOST parents have been through this....so many students in one school, and SO many of them using the same calculator which is the one recommended by the math teachers...they lose them, they accidentally take each others calculators...it can be a nightmare. I took a metallic Sharpie to the calculator, problem solved :)

> 3 dayFunctions work as expected but it’s not dual battery and solar. When my battery died so did the calculator even in bright sunlight
