Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera - 12 oz.(2 pack)

My mother said she had read that some famous person used this and wanted to try it. I was so lucky to find it from this seller who offered 2 bottles for $14.88. One for me and her! I have never been fond of anything rose scented but this scent is so light and delicate it didnt bother me at all. I love it! I normally use plain witch hazel instead of many toners because my skin is a little sensitive and they tend to be rather drying. This was not at all drying and Im sure due to it having no alcohol and the addition of aloe vera. Some might think this rather pricey but it will last forever and in the long run will be economical. You do have to pay a little more for better products but my 58 year old skin is worth every penny. I would highly recommend this product!

I have used this for MANY years. Always reorder! I have tried MANY such products over the years. Nothing suits me like this one.

Toner

This stuff is amazing. I have been using Thayers alcohol-free witch hazel for years and it is a life saver. Whether its acne, cystic acne, dry skin, eczema, or simply something safe, healthy and natural to moisturize your skin--this is your product. It leaves skin feeling clean, and hydrated, without some of the sometimes overwhelming scents associated with some of Thayers other products. Witch hazel has been used for years by women to keep their skin looking young and radiant, and this product lives up to the hype. And it is almost unbeatable when it comes to clearing up small skin infections of any sort. Or if you have a sliver, just put some on a bandaid and leave overnight, and before you know it the witch hazel draws out the piece of wood or what have you. An all around essential product, at a reasonable price. However, I will say that their current red top-ed packaging is not my favorite. It is much harder to use without spilling all over than the other bottles were. But, I guess you take the good with the bad, and honestly if that is the worst I have to say about this product, I am one happy customer.

I wish I had known about witch hazel decades ago!!! This has had a PHENOMENAL and wonderful effect on my skin, starting a couple of days after use! Clears it, makes the pores look less noticeable, smells WONDERFUL, and skin stays soft (no alcohol in this). Also I could swear theres less drooping in my neck skin after a week of use; am I dreaming? Neck and chest look and feel smoother and -- I hate this word, but: supple. This is another natural product that I am SO grateful for!!! Oh, and the bottle and cap are pleasant to handle. Im a super-tactile-focused person, and I luuuuurve the way this feels in the hand. This stuff might be entirely pointless in my routine for all I know, but I love it. Its gentle and the lack of alcohol makes it a winner in my book. It does have a fragrance, which can be irritating to some people (but I think they have a fragrance-free version?). Anyway, I love using this after my cleanser. It makes my skin feel less dry (maybe it brings my skin to the right pH?). I also feel like it could possibly be helping with acne, as my skin has been clearer and more even-toned since adding this to my routine. Ive also used this as a quick way to freshen up my face midday if needed, since I dont wear makeup. The bottles tend to be leaky, though, in my experience. I dont lose much product, but they tend to arrive wet on the outside and I usually keep a tissue beneath the bottle on my shelf. I wouldnt travel with these bottles, but its not a big deal.

The moisturizer in this is wonderful, and I live just love the rise water scent...

Ok so shipping was pleasantly fast item arrived in perfect condition with a seal on the opening and bottle . I switched from using dickinsons witch hazel that had alcohol to thayers alcohol free version but my face has been on the dry side so I havent had a good Testing of the product like I wouldve wanted but it was good so far for only a weeks worth of use since purchasing I need more time and Ill update my review on the product I gave 3 stars because it doesnt sooth like it says it contributed to my overly drying skin because Im on a retinol 1.0 so its not my skins natural state to be dry but because of a chemical peel I am like this I figured this might help with the use of my retinol boy was I wrong when I stop use completely of the retinol than maybe it will sooth but not now . In the picture provided I purchased all products from Amazon with my thayers , coconut oil , jojoba oil, ans my Aztec secret bentonite clay . Since Im using retinol I need to help my skin regain its moisture and the bentonite clay is to spot treat my pimples hope this helps ;)

Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel works like a charm! I love this stuff! I use it like a toner - after I wash my face I rub my face down with it with a cotton ball then I apply any serums and moisturizers after it dries. I also use it in the mornings when I wake up (bc I dont usually wash my face) and I feel like it gets all the dead skin off my face and preps it for the day! It definitely helps keep my skin clear of blemishes. Its a part of my daily routine and I feel off if I dont use it. Leaves a very clean feeling. I also have very sensitive skin/eczema and even though it does burns a tad bit when I use it, I feel like it doesnt irritate my skin like other high-end toners.

Im attaching photos, the first in the grey is the before, the second in the black is the after. Before comparing these pictures, I didnt think that this formula was doing much for me. Then I realized that my face does look brighter and more even. There is a distinct blemish that Ive had on the right side of my face (near my mole) that has been bothering me for a while. I was distracted because I continued to break out while using this product. After reading some of the other reviews, I was under the impression that this product might also help to stop my breakouts. It made me break out more along my jawline in the beginning, but I think I can chalk that up to my skin getting used to it. As a toner, this product does what it says it does. I would caution people prone to breakouts that they will probably breakout more for the first week or so and then it should go back to normal, if not better. I can now see that scars/blemishes on my face have decreased in visibility. This is a good, natural product. I swear Ive been staring at that blemish since I got it and now its leaving, slowly but surely! I am giving it 4 stars right now because it did make me break out on places that I dont usually have problems with anymore...Im hoping that this symptom goes away. The biggest side effect is that my skin seems to have more little bumps along my jaw and cheek line. Though they arent necessarily visible, its changed the smoothness of my skin. Id say it takes away dark spots, and is a little irritating at first. The good news is that I can wait for small pumps and pimples to leave relatively soon. My skin scars easily, so those marks are harder to deal with. This product has really helped me :)
