This worked perfectly to keep my dogs from eating cat food. Now my cats have their own space to eat.

Love it! Looks Beautiful and my 2 cats used it without hesitation. No more having to prop open our basement door so they can go to their litter boxes. Only 2 gripes: 1) If your door is not completely flat (has groves or a decorated pattern) the paper thin template can be hard to use. I had the seller (they were great) send me an email with a PDF with the template...I printed it out on heavy stock paper. Made it a lot easier tracing the template. Cutting it out with a jigsaw was easy and simple. 2) Depending on your door (I have a 6 panel hollow door) and where the panels are...the Ear portion (which already has 3M tape on it) did not align with a flat piece of the door. I would have liked all the 3M tape included in a bag and let me place it where it needed to be. I ended using 2 pieces of my own 3M tape to secure the ears. Just a suggestion...but I LOVE this item.

My dad installed this for me in my laundry room door. He has done construction for years and said that he couldnt cut the full hole or it would compromise the structure of the door (slam the door and it could crack/break), Im not sure I believe him but was happy he found a way to make it work. Both my cats love the cat door and started using it immediately. My older cat cracks me up over it. When I get home from work (or wherever) she greets me at the garage door (I come in from the garage to the laundry room, the cat door is on the laundry room door), I give her a hello pet and then open the laundry room door to go further in to the house...she insists on staying in the laundry room until I close the door again, and then she comes through the cat door. It is a funny little routine. The liter box is in the laundry room. Having the door to the laundry room closed helps minimize the smell, but the cat door does allow some of the stinkier business escape. It isnt nearly as bad. I also installed a bathroom fan in the laundry room, on a motion sensor, so that helps pull the smell out of the room quickly. Doesnt 100% stop the fresh smells but does make it so the entire house doesnt smell like a cat box.

We just installed this. Super easy with a jigsaw. I used the inner liner as my guide instead of the paper template. The template seemed slightly larger and I was worried it would be too big. Once we got the hole cut we were easily able to put the mold in place and used the stickers/adhesive tape it comes with to secure. I might get caulking to make it look even more flushed but that’s just a personal preference. Once installed cat took to opening immediately. My cat is not a oversized, and she fit easily with lots of side clearance. Definitely would recommend.

Cute concept. No regrets. However, installation was tricky. Luckily I have a creative hubby. The XL plates were sent with normal size opening stencil. The cut had to be re-engineered. I called cust svc and they were very sorry. They indicated the proper stencil formats were available online. Unfortunately it was after we completed the installation. But it turned out well and both cats 16+lbs (large kitties) had no hesitation using it. Enjoy.

I’ve been looking for a solution for my cat to access our laundry room for 9 months. Our hallway is narrow and whomever remodeled the house before us unwisely installed a hinged door rather than a pocket door. So to use the hall the door must either be fully open or fully closed. Well obviously we had to leave it open for the cat. Was going nuts listening to my washer’s spin cycle so I started researching how I was going to convert this door to a pocket door. Two things: that is pretty expensive and while I am very handy, above my home improvement skill level. So I did what I always do when I can’t solve a problem, I turned to my old friend google and voila! This Kitty Pass came up. I was like, wait, what? How much? This must be too good to be true! I ordered this puppy up with a highly skeptical outlook. I was happily surprised at how simple the install was. Took the door ff the hinges, traced the pattern and used my jig saw to cut it out. Sanded the edges and installed the Kitty Pass. Then rehung the door. Total labor time was 30 minutes (including gathering tools and setting up saw horses). Cat walked through it almost immediately. Very happy with this purchase and would recommend to anyone. Side note: I was worried about installing this on my hollow core door but it was not a problem at all!

I Installed the XL for my 14 Lb cat, he still has to duck a bit but he loves it and I love the cat box out of sight, Super easy to install, took me longer to gather all my tools then it did to install.

It is a very cute little cat door, but the template was way too small. We had to trace our own lines using the cat door as a guide to get it to fit. There’s a bump out for the screws, so we still had to cut extra little notches to get it to fit. Definitely not as easy as we were thinking it was going to be considering it was the wrong size template.

Kitty Pass sent a regular pattern. I ordered an XL door pass. They told me to look it up on their website to get the right one.

It was really fast to install and works as advertised. The only minor changes I made were to put the back of the doorway (tail end) first with the spacer strip installed to make sure it lined up with the bottom of the door. This was because I dry fitted it first and found out that the front end was easier to line up with the back end installed first. I also had to use a thin piece of metal (file) to push the spacer strip into alignment with the front piece. The cat used the doorway immediately with no issues.
