> 3 dayI absolutely love this product. It worked great for us to put on our basement door and then the door to the litter room. Now we dont have to leave the doors open and it the largest size was big enough to fit my 30 lb cat. The reason I have 4stars for easy to install is because the pattern they give you, you then have to cut out and then trace which can cause it to be uneven. If they just gave you the pattern already cut so you would only need to trace then it would be easier. I did find it took some very careful cutting because we did have the raised panel boards so you have to be very careful. But overall super awesome product and it looks wonderful on the door compared to other plain cat doors. LOVE LOVE LOVE

> 3 daythe included template wasn’t even close to the correct size hole that i needed to cut. Was able to figure it out myself, but could be problematic for someone expecting an easy install.

> 3 dayLove it! Looks Beautiful and my 2 cats used it without hesitation. No more having to prop open our basement door so they can go to their litter boxes. Only 2 gripes: 1) If your door is not completely flat (has groves or a decorated pattern) the paper thin template can be hard to use. I had the seller (they were great) send me an email with a PDF with the template...I printed it out on heavy stock paper. Made it a lot easier tracing the template. Cutting it out with a jigsaw was easy and simple. 2) Depending on your door (I have a 6 panel hollow door) and where the panels are...the Ear portion (which already has 3M tape on it) did not align with a flat piece of the door. I would have liked all the 3M tape included in a bag and let me place it where it needed to be. I ended using 2 pieces of my own 3M tape to secure the ears. Just a suggestion...but I LOVE this item.

> 3 dayI spray painted mine gold. I missed some spots that I stupidly didn’t realize would show, so that needs touched up. Our door is one of those cheap hollow doors; they have a wood frame border about 2 inches. We decided to cut above the border to avoid compromising the sturdy wood frame. I am going to use white trim paint to touch that up also. Love the functionality and style.

> 3 dayI haven’t installed mine yet but I figured I would write a quick review for this. I had debated on buying the regular sized one, but opted to buy the XL, even though it looked like it might have been overkill for my needs. I have a really Chonky cat and I thought “he SHOULD be able to fit through a 7 inch hole, I could probably get away with just getting the regular size”. I’m glad I went with the XL instead. If you have a fat cat, don’t risk it with the smaller one. Just shoot for the XL. I took this out of the box and immediately laid it over top of him and I am truly astonished by how fat my cat is. Now I can keep the dogs out of the litter box room for good! UPDATE: This was easy to install and came with instructions and a template in the box :) it works as it should, keeping the dogs out of the cat box room while giving even our gargantuan kitty an entry to the potty. Would recommend.

> 3 dayI am IN LOVE with you his cat door and so are my cats! We moved into a new house and wanted to keep the litterbox in the laundry room. This product made that possible! River is the tabby cutie in the picture. He is 19.5 pounds - he fits and loves it. It was easy for my husband to install but I will admit he is handy and has tons of tools. Easily one of my favorite Amazon purchases!

> 3 dayI can say that because I’m a moron when it comes to home projects like cutting a huge hole in your door. After buying a jigsaw, taking a couple of nerve pills - it was easier than I expected with the stencil already in place. Within 10 minutes the door was done. Would highly recommend even if you are on the fence.

> 3 dayWe used glue and clamps with a weight on top to get the cat hole to hold tight. I was afraid if it fell apart on my cats they would never go in it. It’s not perfect but once the door is up and the hole is down low no one well ever know. It looks really cute and make my 7 year old laugh all the time.

> 3 dayI purchased the XL Version. My product came sealed in a plastic bag with the necessary parts, an instruction sheet and a template. Regarding the instructions: Fairly simple but, there is a problem when it comes to the template and the instructions: The instructions say to cut the template on the line however, the line is 2-4.5mm wide, depending on which template you get. With that thickness, the difference in choosing to cut on the outside edge of the line or the inside of the line, can be a whole that is 4-9mm larger or smaller. A simple, 1mm line would work fine with either template. Now, onto the bigger problem I had with the kit: I opened the Amazon package, setup my door on a pair of sawhorses, opened the product bag, and followed the instructions: 1. Mark Centerline at bottom of door. 2. Cut out the Template (again, inside or outside edge of line? I chose inside edge). 3. Line up the Template and trace the template onto the door. 4. Saw along the line (I used a jigsaw). I then got the parts and immediately saw that my hole was too small. It was blatantly obvious to me that it wasnt because I chose the inside edge but rather, I was provided with the wrong template. Yes, The Kitty Pass folks gave me the regular template rather than the XL template. Fortunately, they provide the template on their website however, there is bottom border for the XL version of the template so, I had to assume that the bottom of the arc was the cutoff point. The bigger challenge was that I couldnt really, line up the new template because the bottom edge of the door in that area was now missing. With the downloaded XL template (I ensured that I printed it at 100%), I cut to the outside edge of the line and, it still didnt fit properly. The sockets that the provided screws thread into, needed another 3mm on each side and, along the top to line up. Eventually, after a couple widening passes, I was able to get the product mounted. If I had received an actual XL Template, I mightve had a better experience.

> 3 dayI’ve been looking for a solution for my cat to access our laundry room for 9 months. Our hallway is narrow and whomever remodeled the house before us unwisely installed a hinged door rather than a pocket door. So to use the hall the door must either be fully open or fully closed. Well obviously we had to leave it open for the cat. Was going nuts listening to my washer’s spin cycle so I started researching how I was going to convert this door to a pocket door. Two things: that is pretty expensive and while I am very handy, above my home improvement skill level. So I did what I always do when I can’t solve a problem, I turned to my old friend google and voila! This Kitty Pass came up. I was like, wait, what? How much? This must be too good to be true! I ordered this puppy up with a highly skeptical outlook. I was happily surprised at how simple the install was. Took the door ff the hinges, traced the pattern and used my jig saw to cut it out. Sanded the edges and installed the Kitty Pass. Then rehung the door. Total labor time was 30 minutes (including gathering tools and setting up saw horses). Cat walked through it almost immediately. Very happy with this purchase and would recommend to anyone. Side note: I was worried about installing this on my hollow core door but it was not a problem at all!
