So we get a lot of wind, way too much rain, and of course no. Does Sunbrella does not go down low enough on the side to keep the rain out of your face when the wind is blowing at a side angle. Additionally it wasnt as sturdy as it should have been for nearly $40. I went to Walmart and bought a colorful rainbow umbrella medium size that is very well made and comes down more to protect you from the blowing rain. I would just go to Walmart if I were you!

My first purchase of about 6 weeks ago was everything I expected. ..my first purchase replaced another brand with same advertised features...the repel umbrella performs so smoothly compared to my old umbrella. .. With that in mind I purchased a 2nd umbrella for a friend who is handicapped..my second purchase was of the same umbrella..however 2nd umbrella has a glitch. ..upon opening..the fully opened umbrella doesnt engage by clicking into place..the engaging mechanism takes a few up and downs before it finds that spot or the hook on the cylinder before engaging or clicking in place... First umbrella works wonderfully ..I believe this 2nd umbrella has a manufacturing flaw...

I bought this umbrella for obvious reasons - to get in and out of my car without getting drenched. However, when you push the runner to the top where the umbrella fully expands and the runner should get locked, my umbrella forgets its primary purpose. It has decided to make me step out in the rain, struggle to get it locked, and get wet in the meanwhile. Quite likely that they sent me a faulty piece. The design does look quite lovely. Its a pity that mechanical quality is shoddy. I do not recommend it.

I love that I can get out of & in to the car without getting wet. You have manually push the umbrella all the way up to open it, but its easy. And you can easily stand the umbrella upside down to dry. In the wind, it did not blow inside out, and the colorful underside was a nice view during the downpour.

This is not a high end product, although the price tag is. Im still using a much sturdier version that had a spoke break because even broken its better than this. Also a bit on the smaller-than-expected side. Not impressed.

Decent, albeit with plenty of cheap plastic. Diameter is pretty small when opened. It’s a nice looking umbrella, but not sturdy enough to use in the wind. I would call it mediocre at best.

My new office has borrow umbrellas that you can borrow if its rainy with an honor system to bring them back the next day. I normally would never use one but it was POURING so I used one and it was a reverse umbrella. I HAD to have one of my own after that!!!! I got this one because I thought the deign was cool and it had solid reviews. It does not disappoint. It holds water so great, you wont shake water all over the place in your car or in your shopping cart or office. Its easy to use and easy to fold up. I wont ever use a regular umbrella again! Get one!!!

If you arent sure about purchasing this umbrella, dont think twice! I recently moved to Rexburg for college, and I can say that it rains often and the wind blows hard, but it isnt an issue with this umbrella and I couldnt be more happy about the quality! Its wind resistant, I love the colors, and its easy to use. The weekend before my birthday I bought myself the red one, and my mom bought me the purple flower patterned one- I was sad at first but it really isnt a problem- I decided to hold onto both of them and keep one at home as a backup I loved this umbrella so much. Dont think twice, this umbrella is amazing and it wont let you down!
