> 3 dayI know everybody loves this movie, or at least they say they do. I thought it was terrible. But I dont like Monty Pythons Flying Circus either. Its just too stupid.

> 3 dayWell, the first 10 or so times I saw this movie, I heard 3 or 4 new jokes with each viewing. Now that Im pushing 30 views, Im down to 1 per viewing. Pretty good for a movie from the 80s. If you dont think its funny the first time, dont worry. Youll catch more jokes the second time around. And wuv, twoo wuv, wiw fowwow you fowevah...

> 3 dayI purchased this movie to watch with my daughter who is 6 years old (which was right about the same time I saw it as a kid). Needless to say she fell in love with it right away and we have watched it plenty of times in the last few weeks. The bonus features are excellent; I dare anybody to not get even a little chocked up when they listen to Mandy Patinkin talk about his experiences working with Andre the Giant.

> 3 dayI remember when I first saw previews for this film in the theatres...a longtime ago. My sisters and I thought it looked stupid. (The interviews on the Special Edition DVD reveal that marketing was a problem because no one knew how to classify the film) Yet, when we finally watched the movie WE LOVED IT and watched it several times. As we grew up, we met others who also loved it. My sisters and I had friends who would act out the now famous Wesley and Inigo duel. Now that Im older, its still nice to find people who are big fans of the film. Ive met young people who werent even born in the 80s and are well versed in the films dialogue. Ive learned that some people really hate this film, but then theres the rest of us who will pass it on to the next generation. I shared it with my 3 year old son the other day and he was entranced with the swordfigthing scenes and the eels. Someday, I know he will appreciate the humor. I enjoyed watching the As You Wish documentary. The special features on this DVD do not compare to current films. Like most movies made in the 80s and earlier, a DVDs bells and whistles werent considered during the films production. For me, it doesnt matter. The special effects and features arent what drew me to this film to begin with. Even though the film may look dated, the great story, dialogue, humor and gifted acting still has the same apeal it did when I was a young teen.
