Tianken 500G Hard Drive External HDD for Xbox 360, Gray

I have been reading these reviews that say it does not work and they are getting some sort of error message or its not formatted correctly, but I purchased this because Microsoft did not offer an official hard drive on Amazon. Despite all the bad reviews, mine is working just fine. No loud fan or speed up noises, formatted to 290gb which is expected as you lose some of the data when formatting hard drives. The only issue that everyone is guaranteed to come across is that original Xbox games will not function! Original Xbox backwards compatible games are only supported by official Microsoft hard drives. But, there is a very easy fix if you have a way of connecting the hard drive to your computer, like with a Microsoft Transfer Cable or a 3rd party cable of some kind. This product is a value for the cost, so I selected this to expand storage drive space. It turns out to be as professional, as Microsoft brand equipment. Usually selecting only hardware designed, for original Microsoft equipment. Due to console hardware, that can require a Microsoft power core; no longer produced. This drive software configuration, was set for Standard Definition, it required a special cable, to jump to Hi-Definition video, [Fixed].

I wasnt able to make this HDD work with my Xbox. On the upside, I was able to return the unit with no drama.

Its everything i wanted and I am enjoying it every day. I would do this again Im very pleased and satisfied.

Bought this on Friday got it in Saturday. Formatted it first, went to GameStop to get a used Xbox 360 transfer cable and works like a charm! I only had a 60gb HD that was filling up due to the free with gold games, awesome product!

As long as this thing doesnt seize on my Im happy. The storage space is a huge upgrade. I only had a 60 before this and Xbox live has started offering a new free x360 game for download every few weeks so the space will come in handy.
