Greater than one week2.5GPM, 2900PSI Pressure Washer with 3.0 nozzle. Blasted an entire car frame that was rusting since 35. Took (17) 50lb bags of media to complete, and around 8 hours of blasting. Used Black Diamond Fine Coal Slag from Tractor Supply. Some very important notes. 1) the supplied hose must be replaced immediately. I blasted half of the frame with it, and the internal ribs and large diameter of tubing cause the media to be pulled through the nozzle in waves. I replaced it with a 3/8 fuel line, and immediately had far better success and consistent blasting. Note that the hard lines accept 1/2 hose. I forced the 3/8 line on, and felt the smaller diameter produced better suction. 2) if you get any water in the hose, swap for another dry hose. I tried blowing the water out with air, and just could not get it completely dry. Kept clogging. 3) this is a very slow and messy process. But for the price it is worth it. 4) metal will flash rust but is easily resolved with a wire wheel.

> 3 dayIt works great for the money, regular sandblasting definitely works better but if you don’t have a compressor at home like me then this is the way to go, I used a 2500psi 5GPM pressure washer and a 2800 psi 2.4 gpm, the higher GPM unit worked best, I did go through a lot of material fast, I used coal slag first worked great and then I used play sand from Lowe’s which worked better only thing you need to do if you use play sand is put a tarp out and pour the sand thinly and let it sit in sun or a hot shop to dry out and rake it to flip the damp sand,if you don’t dry the play sand the blaster will not work at all, I used about 150lbs to do 4 brake calipers and the brackets but I probably need another 50lbs to complete them, if you have a good pressure washer then I would definitely recommend buying this.

> 3 dayUsed this product with my 4,000 psi pressure washer and it worked extremely well. Blasted my 1980’s Silverado frame straight to bare metal in no time. Not sure how it’ll work on lower psi washers but for mine, it exceeded my expectations. For the price it’s More than worth it.

19-11-2024Needed to rebuild the trailing arms for my 67 Corvair. Air compressor wasnt large enought to handle a sandblaster but I did have a new 3200# PSI pressure washer. Using the cheapest bast media I could buy (medium glass beads) I was surprised of the results. That is 53 years of rust that disappaered in minutes. Anybody want to buy a sandblaster? You should wear coveralls, full face shield. I did my blasting in a corner of my stone drivway so clean up was easy, let media dry and re-rake the stones.

> 3 dayToo good to be true?? Yep!!! You cant get a quality sand blaster for $30. I tried but it simply does not work. Product failed from the very firsr use. Could not get it to suck up media. Followed all the instructions exactly.
