> 3 dayThe device has the same exact model number as the earlier flashable devices. I believe it still utilizes the ESP8266 but has the new Tuya firmware. Works Ok as a Tuya device.

> 3 dayWhat I was looking for from the Energy Monitor is that it drew power from 10:32:15 to 10:32:23 (e.g. 8 seconds). And then again between 13:32:15 to 13:32:28, and then again between 20:32:15 to 20:32:28. I’m more interested that it DID draw power – when - and for how long - as opposed to how much TOTAL power it’s consumed in a day - which is what this does. E.g. Your computer sucked 20kW today – BAM – it’s got that if that’s what you want. I’ve never lived anywhere with a sump pump before and it’s been running a lot lately. Just looking to be sure it runs ‘sometimes’ without making a trip to the basement every day… I had an ice block of the outlet outside recently, and was probably REALLY close to flooding my basement. Woke up to it running and splashing because it couldn’t discharge with the outside ice in the way. If it’s run for more than 15 seconds… I HAVE A PROBLEM, and that’s what I’m trying to solve. So this is great for what it says it will do… and for that it gets high marks, I probably just read too much into it and will probably have to program my own IFTTT ;).

> 3 dayBought these specifically to use Tasmota firmware, based off suggestions found on Reddit. Happy to report that all 6 I received on 2/18/2021 all flashed via the OTA method with zero issues. I had to order from a few other brands (some that I have had success with in the past) that I had to return because they came with updated firmware that prevented this. FYI.

> 3 dayI ordered this because I wanted to find out how much electricity my pop machine was using, as Im sitting on my couch realizing I dont want to go all the way downstairs to reset my modem because its kind of hard to get to, and the same thing with my TV shoved in the corner, I ordered a couple more. if there is something that you have to power cycle on a fairly regular basis these things are the bees knees!

> 3 dayI was looking to replace some cheapy analog dial timers that eventually will wear out/lose time. Im not controlling anything heavy duty right now. I have no Alexa or similar device (nor do I want one) so I downloaded the Topgreener app to my cell. It was easy to install & works flawlessly so far. The units were easy to activate & program. One unit controls an LED window candle with negligible power draw. Another controls an old-style electric blanket (on-off, temp control with no auto-off) so things are toasty come bedtime. A third controls a manual slow cooker so if the cooking time is shorter than the time Im away, I can either turn the unit off or start it later. They seem to have the ability to ride out at least a short-term power outage. I shut the circuit off that had the night light in order to install an AFCI in the lead receptacle position. After about 15 minutes I turned the power back on & later that evening the light came on as programmed & has functioned correctly ever since. A nice feature is the Statistics where you can check the receptacle voltage, current draw, & kWh consumption. Im pretty impressed with the units & the app. Ive purchased two sets & will not hesitate to purchase more should the need arise.

> 3 dayI was pleased with these; easily configured to work w/ google home... working well for months... love the power usage monitoring... yet we had a power outage - for 3 hours... and now I need to completely reprogram them ! That alone is annoying enough that it would prevent me from purchasing more of these, and looking for a smarter option that doesnt require re-provisioning after power outage .

> 3 dayPlease be aware that in a power outage it will not turn back on by itself. To overcome this I set a turn on schedule in the app for every few hours on a fridge. It’s not like flipping a light switch, so it just insures it’s on. I’m no Fire Marshal, but I don’t know why they don’t point this out. Too bad it’s not an option in the app to have it turn itself on every few hours. I have these rectangle ones and the one that covers the other outlet and they all work fine with the app. BTW, set an off time for sprinklers and such and that’s your duration if you are in charge of these things around the house. Pretty cool and easy now to be able to monitor sprinklers (and anything else) from anywhere with just this one app if you toss your old timer and just use the sprinkler wall wart in this outlet wired directly to the valve (with an inline fuse!). You will need one sprinkler wall wart(<$20) and outlet for each zone.

> 3 dayI had low expectations for these little guys seeing as they were quite a bit cheaper than comprable watt meters with a LED readout. But the ability to connect to Wi-Fi seemed convenient so I decided to give it a try. Theyve easily exceed any expectations and I might even buy a few more. The only issue was set-up was a bit challenging, at least for me. It took probably 10-15 minutes and several tries but eventually I got it to work with the app. I had better luck with the alternate pairing method or whatever its called so you might want to try that right off the bat. Also I think I may have erred by plugging them in before I was ready to pair, you may want to wait until you have the app ready to do that. The biggest pleasant surprise was the quality of the app. (You need to have the app to get any use out of this product.) Ive used a bunch of cheaply made companion apps but this was definitely not one of them. It works very smoothly and the UI is great. Its a bit annoying that you have to create a free account with TOPGREENER to use it but I guess that should be expected these days. It prompts you to share your location but you dont need to do this for it to work. Once set up the app makes it very easy to toggle the power of your plugs, as well as view the current and historical power consumption. If you unplug the units they immediately reconnect to the app when you plug them in again so no worries there. One last thing, I noticed someone here was alarmed that the watts on the readout dont equal volts * amps. Thats because this formula doesnt hold true for alternating current. I cant comment on the accuracy of the wattage figures (which are shown to the nearest 0.1 watts) but they seem to be reasonable. EDIT: Had a space heater (1300 watts) running through the plug for about an hour and when I disconnected it the unit was noticeably warm. I dont think it was a fire risk or anything but just something you might want to be aware of, especially for even higher-wattage appliances.

> 3 dayI bought these specifically to load Tasmota on them and control them via Home Assistant. And, they did not disappoint! I had them up and running in Home Assistant in minutes. And, they work perfectly.
