> 24 hourBeing a lifelong Oregonian I rarely used umbrellas - it’s an Oregon thing. Rain is so common here you just go with it. But, now that I spend the majority of my time in Arizona I wanted something compact for my car. This fits my needs to a T. Easy to open and close, sturdy and keeps me dry.

> 24 hourThis is a terrific portable umbrella. Folded and in its sleeve it will fit in a medium-sized purse. Its lightweight and extremely water resistant. The moisture just rolls right off and the material seems dry! Unfolded its a full sized black umbrella covered with a pattern of raindrops in blue, yellow, red, green and purple. There is a shortish (3) textured handle with an elastic hoop for hanging and a push button to open. Closing the umbrella by clicking it back into place isnt TOO difficult but its probably too much for a child or frail older person. The best part is that the umbrella has an SPF 50+ and protects you in rain or sun.

> 24 hourI love these totes umbrella. Its small enough to fit into your purse, but just big enough to shelter you from the rain. I also love the pattern, which really stands out. The auto open/close is also a treasure. I only buy totes.

> 24 hourThis is a very nice small umbrella. My thoughts: Pros: *Water resistant - water rolls off of umbrella and umbrella dries very quickly *SPF 50 protection - very good shade protection for limited dimensions of the umbrella, it is noticeably cooler under the umbrella on bright sunny days. *Good looking - the colors are vibrant and the handle is attractive *Functionality - the umbrella opens and closes easily and it folds up into the included pouch nicely. *Life time warranty - the manufacture offers a limited lifetime warranty for manufacturing defects. (Not normal wear and tear.) Cons: *This is a very small umbrella and is only going to offer limited protection. *The price point is on the high side for an umbrella of this size. Overall this is a nice option for those looking for a small umbrella

> 24 hourNever Wet Invisible coating manufactured by Totes is so easy to bring out of the rain because it repels 4 times better than other umbrellas. I have found it so easy to open and close and it is about 55 when open. The handle is very sturdy and has a strap so you can either put it over your arm or when at home you can hang it on a hook. It is UV protected from the sun so you can use it on a hot day as well as a rainy day! It has a strap to hold the umbrella together before you put it in the case that comes with it. This particular umbrella is so cute with a pattern of different colors of rain drops when it is open. I really like this umbrella and very happy to have it!

> 24 hourBased on the photo, I expected a bigger umbrella. I would call this a mini-umbrella. Fully collapsed, it is 11 inches from top to bottom, and weighs 10 oz. Expanded, it is 21 inches tall and 37.5 diameter. Now 21 isnt a lot of headroom, nor is 37 a lot of coverage area. Holding the umbrella at mid-chest, the top of my head almost touches the underside of the canopy. For reference, Im 5 6. If youre a taller person, this may not be the umbrella for you. Its also a very shallow umbrella. The canopy is trapezoidal and theres very little slant. totes rates the coverage area at 43. Its on the low extreme end of the scale on the graphic printed on the box. I tested it out today in a light drizzle and it kept me dry. In heavier rain, I would get wet because it is not wide enough for me. If I swing my arm even just a little, it goes outside the coverage area, so I recommend this umbrella only if youre a smaller person, or for a child. The handle is also very small. The hydrophobicity of the fabric is good, but it does not repel water completely. Water will still cling to the fabric, especially smaller droplets. For day time use as a parasol, it offers SPF 50, which is great for the summer. Auto Close is OK, but not something Im wowed by. Pushing the button when its open will collapse the umbrella, but you still have to push it down. This still requires some amount of strength and hand dexterity. The struts dont feel overwhelmingly solid or sturdy. Im not impressed. They look like the struts you see on ordinary drugstore umbrellas and will not stand up to gusting. Ill report back after testing in windy conditions during the next rainy day. What I am impressed by is the lifetime warranty though, the umbrellas saving grace. totes will replace your umbrella in case of defect in manufacturing or failure to operate. You just have to send it back on your own dime and pay $5 shipping and handling for the replacement. Dont lose the slip that comes with the umbrella!
