> 24 hourThis umbrella is fairly compact. Folded up, its about a foot in length and can fit in a large purse.Theres a large button that you press to fully and instantly open the umbrella. You also use it to close it, although the rod doesnt retract - you need to push it down. I dont know how strong a wind it can withstand, but the spokes are designed to have some give so instead of breaking, they bend. I had the umbrella in a downpour to test its advertised drying ability. I shook off the water and in about 3 minutes it was dry! Nice.

> 24 hourBeing a lifelong Oregonian I rarely used umbrellas - it’s an Oregon thing. Rain is so common here you just go with it. But, now that I spend the majority of my time in Arizona I wanted something compact for my car. This fits my needs to a T. Easy to open and close, sturdy and keeps me dry.

> 24 hourI bought the polka dot umbrella as a gift and it was a hit. A pretty pattern for any rainy day. Nice and sturdy as well.

> 24 hourHonestly, if youre looking for a quality umbrella that will keep you dry, that will last, and that has auto-open/close, I dont think you can go wrong with Totes Umbrellas. I needed a new umbrella for my car, and this fit the bill. The first day I had it in there, it got me through a walk from my car in the howling rain. The auto open is easy and smooth. Would definitely recommend this!
